I have unironically quoted this at my job when I was talking to a couole coworkers about the reasons software engineering salaries are way higher than all the other types of engineering.
When it comes to making money, the least impact on the material world your work has, the better. It is way easier and more profitable to sell ideas and influence than to sell an actual physical product.
This quote should be included on every economics 101 highschool/college course.

It's not about physical labor.
If the end product is something that exists on the physical world, that business will never be as effective at making money as a business working on the digital or immaterial world like a software company, a finance firm, a law firm, etc.
The only exception are companies like Nvidia and peak Cisco or Nortel who make boatloads of money during a perfect storm that hits once a generation to just a couple companies.
Unless you are doing it for the love of the game, dealing in the real world really makes no sense on a capitalist system.

>tell a wagie jeff said that
>huh? what's a goyim?
>didn't that guy get murdered in prison
>please stop bothering me, I need to finish this ticket so I can clock out and go drinking with the boys
the only one getting destroyed is you
