I'm going to pay off the loan to my home with new hard earned money. Telling my wife I am paying it off with a combination of my physical gold and new money. This way she is psychologically prepared for there being no gold (sold it at 2000 dollars right before the generational golden bullrun) when I keel over and die before she does.
