Cashews and poison ivy are in the same plant family. It's mostly in the shell but the nut still needs to be treated to be edible after being removed. People who work with cashews and don't have skin protection end up with problems like pic related.

I was travelling in asia once, made friends with a local there and they shares cooked cashews, it was like a curry. One of the best things ever.

Get whole cashews, and re-roast them to get them crunchy. Kinda like roasted raw peanuts to get them crunchy.
