>>22051592 it's not a meme I love peanut butter and jelly. it's easy to make, filling, calorically dense, has decent macros. I'm in my 30s and bring them to work all the time. or just slap one together when I'm hungry and just want some food in my stomach. I fucking love peanut butter though.
>>22051599 I understand this as a side. What i don't understand is the jump to selling them as a sports stadium concession. At no point while watching sports have i ever thought to myself that i would like a bowl of mushy peas to slurp right now.
>>22051592 Same. PB and cheese or PB and pickle make sense to me. All that sugary jelly seems fucking disgusting. I'm 40 and I've never taken a single bite of one. Always seemed disgusting. My parents also had sense so they didn't serve those to me. I got to school and found out kids love that shit. Weird.
Not a food, but chopsticks. American sweets, oreos, twinkies and pop tarts specifically, as those are what I've tried. They're crazy bland and taste like little more than artificial sweetener. I can totally understand getting fat from sodas, barbeque, Mcdonalds and whatever, but not that garbage.
>>22051599 Yeah that's crazy. I'm sure it tastes fine but why ruin the shape and texture of peas? Only reason I can think of is making them easier to eat for some cerebral palsy retard.
>>22051399 We have a few. Fir example after butchering a pig it's fat is cut into cubes and rendered for cooking, while rendering it the fat cubes get fried. Another one is animal intestine stuffed with meat, herbs, it is later cover with beaten egg and roasted, it's fucking tasty especially with some sour cream.
>>22054256 yeah, nothing special to it although I only had it the one time in Lyon so maybe it's actually great and I just missed out. I've had most of the stuff that gets posted on here as weird French shit (except ortolan but I've heard multiple recountings of meals old people have had)
>>22051599 the first meat-alternative burger had this "chicken patty" where i could make out the texture and taste of peas. bleerghhhh, i couldn't even finish it
>>22051859 Trust me, you wouldn't like the pasta if you tried it. They dump a bunch of sugar into it, its so, so sweet. >>22051732 Yeah. Its not good gravy either so the chicken is better eaten plain
>>22052426 There’s utensils for everything, and chopsticks have their place too. You can pick things up without spearing them; good for noodles, sushi, salad, and any delicate piece of fish/meat. Cmon now.
>>22052045 based PB and cheese fag I like a good peanut butter and cheese, but the cheese has to be sharp cheddar else it blends in too much, I haven’t really tried anything except cheddar yet. >>22054091 >>22054252 niggers really will find anything to get upset about.
>>22055428 I went last year but didn't know anything about the place in advance so didn't get any canard au sang, the lievre a la royale was alright though and only the second time I ever ate any. I wouldn't recommned Les Grands Buffets, sure the price tag isn't too high to get access to such a variety of dishes, but a lot of them are heavy saucey dishes so it's not a great opportunity to try them all since you're be full fast. On top of that the way the buffets are arranged, all of the different smells from cheese, seafood and hearty meat sauces mingle and overwhelm you when you make your way to them. Lastly, there's nothing in particular to see in Narbonne, only worth it if you're already making your way through there or are invited by friends when you're only an hour away (me).
>>22055444 Fair enough, still it's the only way to get that kind of cuisine for us plebs. All things considered, good experience for me and my friends >an hour away Where you at, Nîmes or Perpignan?
>>22055480 Neither, I was going to see a friend living in Montelimar with people we both knew from college and it was a good opportunity to check it out on the way, originally they were going with family but there was a scheduling mishap so 3 extra seats (you gotta reserve a few months in advance iirc). I don't live far in the first place though (Toulouse)
Most of the stuff they have is available in most of France and would be better appreciated solo imo, lapin a la royale and canard au sang are the only two notable things I saw that I can remember, lapin a la royale is supposed to be very laborious to prepare so you don't get many homecooks preparing it, canard au sang needs that special press. Seafood was very meh despite proximity to suppliers, excellent cheese though, makes a serious case for an all-cheese buffet.
