>>4044494 Pretty much. Persona 3 was the first game in the series to do the modern life sim RPG hybrid stuff that the series is known for, so they played it way less safe which resulted in the most diverse and out there cast of the series.
I bring up the gacha because the main character of that has this special ability to summon spirit versions of the people he meets in his daily life as party members in the RPG dungeons, that's how the plot justifies rolling for characters like in other gachaslop. Because of the amount of characters the gacha is actually doing some pretty wild stuff the main games don't, there's still the classic high school student characters you see in every game, but there's also characters like an old woman, an adult man, and a loli.
They're also currently doing a crossover event with Persona 3 that's slowly adding the P3 cast to the game, so Ken himself will show up at some point.

Besides Ken, P3 also has Pharos for the first half of the game as a story-based Social Link. P4 has the Social Link for Shu, a middle school nerd that the MC can tutor as a part-time job. P5 has the Social Link for Shinya, an elementary school brat that trains the MC in light gun shooting at the arcade. Note, it's not like the loli fuckers are eating much better. No loli has been a playable character. At best, they also get just one Social Link per game (Maiko in P3, Nanako in P4, and the attendants of P5). The series overall tends to focus in on high schoolers and then intergenerational relationships (predominantly with a variety of adult figures, both good and bad influences).
