My biggest problem with them is just nothing happens except them being wholesome. That's been the main drag with the main Bubbeline stuff too. I liked Obsidian! If you no longer want to display relationship challenges because they're oh so perfect now, have them go on an adventure or something, cripes. PB has always been a bit of a weird character. Even in early AT, she was always sort of aloof but she was pretty much in control one episode and powerless then next. She would solve an issue instantly in one episode and need Finn to save her the next. Then, in the mid seasons they tried to lean more into her controlling aspects to have her be more than just the damsel in distress sort of character but I think they mostly did it as a joke and didnt intend for her to seem like a tyrannical dictator. That led to the writers trying to course correct with her and when the whole Marceline thing got added she was made to be almost entirely benevolent if perhaps a bit too confident in her ability to resolve everything. I really just wish the writers stuck to her being a dominating tyrant.
