I happened to read this before the storytime because 4chan was crashing miserably and I found it elsewhere, but this whole series has felt like they made dramatic changes throughout from a writer/editorial/artist standpoint. (And since EBC got canceled...)

It makes no sense for Torment to have just moved on from Dylan after hunting him, just to move on to Anna and May. Flash goes to pick up Anna for her to get to Feast, then allows Torment to hang in the crowd while they serve soup? Eddie was dying in the streets moments ago but is now ready to rip off his neck brace and jump into some kind of fight?

Adding to my point, they couldn't even agree on what outfit MJ was wearing underneath the symbiote, how to portray the teeth, or whatever. I know they couldn't have Gomez draw everything, and the art's actually good, it's just inconsistent from book to book. I'm also trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that Torment can still attack Peter as he does as the separation is ongoing... but meh.

If the leaks about next week are right, I'll be fine with it overall, but if they're not, this might end up being one of my most hated events ever.

Would it help this storyline at all in any way for Torment to be someone we know under the mask, instead of just some new OC rando? It's not like there's any existing villain who'd be a good fit for Torment's serial killer autism, and there aren't even many supporting characters left who don't already have some costumed identity.
