Robert Kirkman is not a good writer.

>writes a zombie apocalypse story
>most of the dialogue is people bitching about an off-handed comment made to them two days ago
>writes a superhero story
>most of the dialogue reads as if the characters are in a therapy session
Contrived dramaslop writer, no one talks like humans in his comics.

Bulletproof sucks.

Its stupid that there's so many random flying bricks on Earth in this setting but none of them are allowed to be able to match a viltrumite. Is it just because Kirkman is so lazy when it comes to superpowers?
In DC there are various random flying brick heroes and villains that can fight a Kryptonian 1-on-1

Nah, Kirkman said in many letters of the comic that he could pretty much do what he wanted, if anything he overwrote some stuff and suddenly dropped others because he got bored from how free he was to.
Invincible's a big deal now, but you have to recall it was basically just another Image parody work then, no different from Capes Inc.
Most readers concerns were still with the original titles from the big 2 before those betrayed trust.
That said, I'm not a fan of his tendencies, but Kirkman's a weird sort of double contrarian at times, he leans on the things he knows people consider shocking but tends to swerve last second.
Example, when Bulletproof was hitting on a drunk Beast Girl in front of a sad face Robot, then instead of cutting to a hotel room with her loudly professing she hasn't been that satisfied in centuries, just out of sight from Robot she tells him she "forgot" how humans interact and was just being nice but won't sleep with him. Or how Oliver seemed at several points to be at odds with Mark, ruthless and self-assured, seconds from some sort of fatal betrayal. Little comes from it.
I'll admit though in some cases I commend veering from the obvious turmoil, like D.A. Sinclair.Everything's setup for him to do what Robot does using the Reanimen, but turns out he was content to just be recognized, get laid and not in prison.
Not every jaded egghead needs to remain a lifelong costumed psychopath getting smacked around and achieving little. I'd throw in the Maulers, but it's fuzzy who wants what.

I'm impressed Kirkman hasn't gotten in trouble with the wokes with some of the edgy shit he writes involving blacks

Only The Walking Dead comics, and its a boring optimistic open end.

Is this even a joke at miles? He only showed up just 2 years before this issue came out in an alternate universe timeline. He really only started actually replacing Peter around 2016 after they canned the ultimate universe and shoved him into the main universe and gave him his own main universe comic series and had him start showing up in other stories, videogame appearances and the spiderverse movies.

Shit animation aside, we're still in the tolerable parts of the comic.
