Depends on who you ask, but a lot of users here didn't like it because;
>They dropped the ghost of the week formula outside of exceptions like the Unhaunting of Brighton and maybe All Shark No Bite
>Ollie has the personality of wet cardboard while his family
>The Chens weren't a strong enough foil to the McGees and some believed that they were unnecessary
>Andrea never got to meet Scratch and never became apart of a 'girl trio' with Libby and Molly
>Andrea's self-insert dyke girlfriend
>So to add to those previous points, they didn't develop the characters they should have and kept adding characters they were never going to properly develop, leaving everything feeling half-baked
>Some people thought 100% Molly McGee was "pushing an agenda"
>Knowing "The End" was coming a long while before the season properly ended, so everybody knew there wasn't going to be another season after this

>endless episodes shilling judaism when only the 1 in the first season was really necessary (and there was more to come in season 3 too!)
>they ran out of budget and it showed because the main baddies were literal cut and paste entities, characters were wearing recycled outfits, bottle episodes including a particularly annoying one where they hype up a family trip only to be stuck in the house using their le imagination
>climate change episode that featured a "fireworks factory" moment with Andrea's party
>Ollie looked like some focus test group K-pop model character that didnt really fit with the others or even his family
>the infamous Molly McMutt episode
>Ollie's family weren't actually competent ghost hunters, just LARPers, this is revealed very early on and there is no tension whatsoever
>Molly easily pussywhips Ollie into betraying his family's ideal, again no real tension and the episode that was meant to address this (the dance episode) is resolved way too neatly
>Andrea's family subplot with the Walmart place basically ends up with the bad guy winning
>humor kind of tapered off and had boomer vibes, ie Molly not knowing what a VHS tape was
>Jinx was an uninteresting villain and her suddenly obsession with the chairman to justify why she's chimping out was forced
>although there were indeed some vague "hints" with Scratch and Todd, they were always too vague, they never actually took a risk with this mystery, and so when its revealed its more like "hey this random BG character is actually Scratch because he touched him by accident even though he pulled his pants back in a prior episode"
>in retrospect the whole Todd and Scratch thing was unnecessary and retroactively makes their relationship with Molly creepy
Though truth be told, I think its mostly that the new show vibes wore off after the Chairman was killed, because season 1 was full of bad episodes too. The show was ultimately a failure because it refused to take risks.

Season two was terrible but they ruined her long before that. Completely shat her character right after the first episode and never got better.
