I asked TGM's director if they had to get permission from WDA to start showing (mammal) characters without gloves (a holdover from the B&W years when most of the characters were black-furred) and he told me there was never a conversation about it and no one objected. Honestly surprised. The bird characters tended to hail from the color years so there's this 50/50 split with some of them wearing gloves and some not.

If Darkwing is canon to Ducktales, then humans wouldn't exist, because Darkwing Duck is canonically a TV show in the human world. Quack Pack might ALSO be canon to Ducktales, but that can't be because humans DO exist in Quack Pack. A Goofy Movie, as well as it's sequel, seem to be canon to Goof Troop, but both Mickey and Donald cameo, and Max name drops Donald. Both ALSO seem to be canon to Mickey's Once and Twice Upon a Christmas (Once being before Goof Toop, and Twice being after An Extremely Goofy Movie.), which Chip and Dale appear in as well. And then there's House of Mouse, which shouldn't be canon, but they do treat A Goofy Movie as canon, with the Roxanne episode, and humans exist in THAT show!

Personally and no animation team will get disney to approve this, but I think ducktales, darkwing duck, goof troop and tailspin are the same universe.

I guess tailspin would take place from 1950 to 1970 since we never really see modern aircraft or technology in it. Or at least I dont remember any. Ducktails is 80s and 90s. Wing and goodtroop are 90s to 00s.

Quack pack is in that weird universe shared with humans. Chip and Dale are alt universe with mouse detective and the rescuers where animals are sentient but dont interact with humans directly. Chip and the gang might exist in duckberg world but they are the size of mickey mouse.

House of mouse is probably in the Roger Rabbit and Bonkers world where all of these characters are just cartoons that live along side humans. Roger and bonkers exist in duckberg world. Jessica and baby Herman do not or are altered to be anthos. Jessica would be a cat or dog styled like peg or Roxanne.


Also none of this really matters. Animators are silly people trying to get around asking Disney for permission to use characters. They'll never owe up any of this

I know what the show blurb says. But the show is written like a post ww2 sitcom. Like balue is war vet pilot that purchased a surplus plane and started a business. 2/3rds of the aircraft used to inspire the sea duck didnt take flight until 1942. The iron vulture was based on the Akron from the mid 30s.

There also appears to be a communist block.

The show runners combined a stretch of 30 to 40 years, 1920 to 1960 into a single show.

Here is a question: why are conducks and dogs so rare in disney anthro world?

We see only a handful of bear, cat, ape, snake, fox, and mice people across all the shows.

And who actually is the dominant species? And who is suppose to be a metaphor for white people?

Duck shows would imply dog people are middle eastern. They were often used for African, Egyptian, persia, ect in ducktales. There is an argument that goofy and dog people are black based on very early comments by disney about goofy. BuT power line and his dancers are coded as black characters in a way no one in spoonervil is.

Its not really about race. Duck comics set up ducks as being from pretty much Ireland and Scotland. Dog people from desert lands. They live on a planet with countries ans cities much like our own. Goofy has a map of what looks like the US. Duckberg is located on a map much like the US too.

There are no real signs of racism in disney's anthro world. No real signs of the civil war, slavery, ww1 and ww2. There is a very thin implication of a great war in tailspin. And a few implications that there is a communist country similar to russia.

Its an interesting window into what Disney creative teams see as an ideal country. What the world should have been.
