>>154061677 WITCH storytime guy here. I think the comic at its best is easily better, but I also think the cartoon mostly improved the arcs it actually adapted(partly because those arcs were subject to a bunch of meddling). I definitely like the style of the comic over the cartoon. Miranda is the best cartoon-only character.
>>154061974 If you're the WITCH storytimer, why are you bumping a clanker's thread? I can't believe storytimers are bumping Image Dump Fag threads. >>154061740 Same for you El Barto. Shame on you. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU ANONS POTENTIALLY BUMPING A BOT THREAD WHILE JANNIES ARE ACTIVELY PURGING DEATH BATTLE THREADS AND DIDN'T CARE FOR THE BOTS!!!
>>154061677 Comparing the adapted arcs? First arc and first season are on pair. If you want more teen drama, go for comics. If you want fighting alongside resistance against an evil overlord, go for the show. Second season is hands down superior. Second arc was a mess for several reasons. Teen drama stuff is still better in the comics but that does not salvage weak main plot where the Oracle acts stupid for no benefit and the main villain is nothing like her show counterpart.
>>154063123 What's the difference between the Nerissa arc show and comic? >>154062940 Will's and Irma's mom of course >>154062147 What do they see in eachother?
>>154063544 For starters, in the show Nerissa is active since the first episode of her season, when in her arc we initially have Oracle's dumb cat lady doing stupid shit that results in freeing Nerissa In both show and comics Nerissa starts as an underdog villain who has to work to increase her power. Only in the show she shows far more impressive cunning. Her initial power boost in the comics happened because the Oracle made the girls forget they were supposed to chase after Nerissa, for no good reason. The show Oracle actually is far better executed as the all-wise supreme good figure. While he quickly gets screwed harder in the show by Nerissa than he ever was in the comics, the one thing he manages to do before that was more helpful and better demonstrating his wisdom and kindness than anything he did in the second arc. Show Nerissa also turns Will's boyfriend into her henchmen and he is a good tormentor. In comics the henchmen was some literally who and we never learn his initial human identity. Series also had more interesting finale where the girls learn that to defeat Nerissa they must become cunning on their own. The comic arc finale is about stopping Nerissa's invasion and it isn't so filled with twists and turns
>>154063969 >>154063544 Let's not forget that Nerissa is more complex character in the series. She still is a power hungry megalomaniac, but she actually has a family in the series, has some lines she won't cross (at least not until she becomes pissed enough to turn murder prone), and it's clear that she is a fallen heroine who genuinely believes that everyone will love her once she conquers the universe and brings upon her order. Comics Nerissa outright calls herself evil in a cheesy way and is just mad at the Oracle.
>>154061677 Both have their pros and cons, I think the tv show had a more solid first season that qyickly becomes retarded as it goes on , and the comic is kind of rough but gets better as it goes on.
>>154066908 >Also, why and what's the appeal? Probably just because he developed a crush on theme when he was a kid. Shit like that doesn't necessarily just go away simply because you get older. Plenty of old people will still reminisce about people they fancied when they were kids. With the advent of fictional characters with a set visual this now happens to crushes on "people" who can't age, and the person is likely to keep seeing through their own growth, keeping the crush alive. If the kid happens to develop a childhood crush on an adult character, this isn't seen as that weird if he still has it when he's older, but if he develops it on a character his own age, this starts to get into socially awkward territory.
>>154061677 I randomly remembered the other day, one of these teen witch cartoons from the 2000's, there was a scene where one of the girls during PE class show her legs to the teacher who starts stuttering. And I rememver at the time thinking that was too audult for how simple the show was
>>154080882 Americans think that Pokémon Adventures is for mature readers and manga series like JJK, One Piece and DDD are classified as "adult" graphic novels so this isn't surprising
>The Jannies already nuked three images. >The Jannies didn't nuke the entire thread. WHY ARE YOU SO PATHETIC, AI CLANKER MODS?!?!?! YOU JUST DELETED THREE IMAGES, BUT NOT AN ENTIRE THREAD?!?!?! EVEN THE DRAWTHREADS WENT TO SHIT BECAUSE OF YOUR TREATMENT TO CALLOUT POSTS!!! WELL I..........I.............. Am going through alot at the moment.
I'm not going to test any waters at shitty moderation by dumping my own images to combat this botfag. I'm just............Not in the mood at the moment.
>The clanker still attempt to ban hum/herself. >Jannies still delete them, but not the thread. Nope. Still not gonna spam my own images to test the faulty AI mods.
AND FUCK YOU, TAYLOR SWIFT, FOR MAKING ME DEPRESSED TWICE!!!
>>154062147 They took this from us >>154061974 Based take, though I standby the take that "Miranda is just elyon's evil aspects give a form". I think it's not bad but makes me sad they didn't even remotely try to make elyon a little bit morally gray and fix her sudden character shift in arc 1. But this does give us a fun partner for cedric again as I myself loved the dastardly duo of elyon and cedric in the beginning of arc one. We don't get enough genuinely evil characters that love each other or are best friends. It's always the ole I'll betray them or secretly abusive stuff, but elyon and cedric genuinely felt like they were both on hater timing together.
>Honestly imagine classic/og evil elyon and miranda together.
>>154096635 >5 hours after last reply, Image Dump Fag revives it from page 10. Fucking hell. This thread never dies and we've have the clanker bumping a thread for no reason. If it's at near archive, it should stay dead.
The moderation is shittier over time. They allowing a million Digital Circus threads and this thread. Unsurprisingly, I am still sad.
>>154104038 They already tried but honestly they shockingly limited themselves but might be ok since euro not US series. But really why I asked as "your" ideal >>154105949 Also it really was much better than the winx club one. It's not "great" but their worst decision to me is the taranee thing rest I consider more poor writing reboot than overly modern
