Pomni is just too damn CUTE!!

It's a computer so maybe seconds in real life feel like years in the simulation or something so even if it shuts down in a year it would have felt like an eternity for them

We all die someday, Anon. You could die just as suddenly tomorrow. That doesn't mean the time we spend now doesn't matter.
>>
Genuinely felt like the team wanted to have their cake and eat it too
>Super dramatic embrace inside Jax’s mind
>Also no fuck you that didn’t actually do anything lol
You can’t sweep a character under the rug like that after such a big scene, it creates cognitive dissonance. But I guess literal children in the audience don’t know any better
Jax should have either explicitly died (“thanks for trying but it’s too late”) and had his mind copy corrupted, or they should have saved him.
One or the other.
>>
>>154094128
I hate when the power goes out and all of the data on my computer gets erased. Thats such a bummer. Someone should really invent a computer thats data remains on it even if its powered down.
>>
>>154097005
Data can corrupt if the power goes down when it's being written over.
>>
>>154097692
Data on your computer is constantly being corrupted simply by existing. Cosmic rays hitting your computer are constantly changing the 1s ans 0s on it. Yet it still functions because of error checking and repair protocols.
>>
>>154096980
>Genuinely felt like the team wanted to have their cake and eat it too
Hiring a castration cultist and making a good series, respectively, yes.
>One or the other.
Exactly.
>>
>DON'T STOP--
>>
>>154096872
I could see the opposite happening with a 90's computer operating really slowly trying to simulate the brains of a dozen people.
>>
>>154096980
If he had been unabstracted, you retards would be complaining about why the can't do that for every single abstraction, that him abstracting was just for shock value and it didn't actually mean anything. If there's one thing that's been consistent in my almost 2 decades on this site, it's that your retards will jump through hoops to stay unsatisfied by literally everything.
>>
>>154096980
>Jax should have either explicitly died
That's what happened idiot
>You can’t sweep a character under the rug like that after such a big scene, it creates cognitive dissonance. But I guess literal children in the audience don’t know any better
This show isn't for children and killing Jax is the LEAST child friendy narrative option
>or they should have saved him.
You would be complaining about this too
>>
>>154098475
>>154098553
NTA but they could have satisfied everyone: Have Caine realize he can un-abstract everyone but he has to do it fast before his powers completely weaken.

Everyone comes back except Jax who chooses to remain dead.
>>
>>154098553
>Thats what happened idiot
Except no, you’re wrong and also stupid.
Jax’s mind is still inside the dog-monster. Everyone’s minds remain but are buried, thats how Pomni was able to reach him.
>This show isnt for children
OK…? My theater was full of kids and manchildren but go off.
>Killing Jax is the least child friendly option
Again he’s not dead. He’s literally sitting in a tent behind the characters while they watch TV. You wouldn’t say someone suffering from early dementia is dead would you?
>You would be complaining about this too
My point is that for all the sophistry about making choices, Goose pussied out and didn’t make a choice.
They left Jax and the others in a salvageable state as sequel bait. And you can call me crazy but I’ll make sure to save your post for when TADC2 drops in two years time.
They had three options:
>Jax dies
>Jax is saved
>Jax dicks around inbetween the boundaries of life and death and we’ll make it as confusing as possible so I can easily write myself out of this corner, if the fans hate it.
The team chose Option C. The C stands for Cope by the way, which is what you’re doing now.
>>
>>154098475
>you retards would be complaining about why the can't do that for every single abstraction
the show never really gave any reason that it's impossible.
If anything we've learned that they're still in there and you can actually interact and talk to them in their mindscape if you just hug the polygon dog.
Unrelated note I want to hug Scratch. He looks huggable, for a presumably middle-aged guy in a cartoon dog body.
>>
>>154098475
If abstraction is meant to be a metaphor for suicide maybe they shouldn’t have made it possible to communicate with them lmao
In real life I can’t use a fucking Oujia Board to talk to Kurt Cobain. The circus’s internal mechanics are inconsistent and that’s mostly due to lazy writing.
>>
>>154096980
I like how abstraction even exists in a Sims game. Is it intended programming? A glitch that never got patched?
>>
>>154097005
you have imagination, don't you?
>>
>>154098794
I talk to Kurt all the time. He keeps telling me to do it
>>
>>154098794
yeah but its more dramatic this way, right? jokes aside its like Steven Universe fusion being a metaphor for sex and relationships, the comparison is going to fall flat somewhere and look silly
>>
Which abstracted character would you let corrupt you?
>>
>>154098630
>Have Caine realize he can un-abstract everyone
Thank fuck you're not a writer, that's a fast way to completely destroy the stakes of the entire show with a complete asspull
>Everyone comes back except Jax who chooses to remain dead.
Again, thank God you're not a writer because Jax wouldn't choose to stay dead if Ribbit and Kaufmo came back, not to mention if he got a chance to reconcile with Pomni

This would have satisfied no one but you

>>154098748
>Jax’s mind is still inside the dog-monster.
Everyone's mind is inside the dog-monster, retard. They explained this all the way back in episode 3 when Kinger was able to see a bit of Queenie still alive in her abstracted form in the dark. Also why Kinger goes sane in the dark, dude has been on the verge of abstraction for over a decade
>>>This show isnt for children
>>OK…? My theater was full of kids and manchildren but go off.
>Take your kid to go see Saw
"DUDE THIS MOVIE WAS MADE FOR KIDS"
>>Killing Jax is the least child friendly option
>Again he’s not dead. He’s literally sitting in a tent behind the characters while they watch TV.
He's sitting in the tent as a stand in for the cellar. Literally everyone who abstracted is in the same boat as him in a different part of the circus. The only important thing is that it's somewhere dark. Also, the tent seemed like a temporary solution because they didn't have Caine to put him away. They keep him in the tent because they care about him
>You wouldn’t say someone suffering from early dementia is dead would you?
This is closer to not pulling the plug on your dad who's in a coma because you can't let go
>They left Jax and the others in a salvageable state as sequel bait.
He's not salvagable and Goose has explicitly stated multiple times that he does not want to touch this series ever again and that there will NOT be a sequel

I don't understand why it's so hard for you to just accept that Jax is permanently abstracted.
>>
>>154098794
Abstraction being suicide is fine, it works. There's no reason Pomni can't communicate with Jax's abstracted ghost one last time for the plot to happen and for them to sort of reconcile. And it allows for the admittedly somewhat too-long Jax memory scenes, which I think are some of the best scenes in the show. Also it gave us reality's gay, the best line in the show
>>
who went to go see it =/=who is was made for

Have you actually looked up the statistics of what percentage of trans people get bottom surgery? Or are you equating HRT with chopping your dick off by calling it "chemical castration" because youre an overdramatic clown?
>>

That is what the ritual requires, yes.
>>
>>154099661
>>154099700
>what percentage of [castration cultists] get [to the physical stage of the castration ritual]
Yes, most haven't got there yet, either because they're "not ready" or their health insurance won't cover elective surgeries with no medical necessity. I guess pills are one thing and scalpels are another, go figure...

needed more fat characters, methinks. Maybe Caine triggers a funny weight gain sequence for an adventure.
>>
>>154096872
The years seem to be linear, judging from relative time in the circus and what they do and do not get (Ragatha having been in for 18 years and not knowing Breaking Bad)
>>
>>154096980
episode 7 made it cnnon tht jax wasnt the one telling ribbit his secret but caine was manipulating him nullyfying jax entire ark in the show as now i can just point at jax being an asshle and say thats because of caine
>>
>>154103228
Why did Caine get redeemed, anyhow?
>>
>>154098794
Communicating with the dead is very common in real life, there are dozens of national and religious holidays for it

probably because when he's not being a HAL9000 he's a lovable fun character. Plus he had the best chance to be the asspull the series needed for a happy ending

A more reasonable brick wall would be banning the ritual altogether, from the chemical castration to even suggesting in public that "gender" can be "transitioned."

If Pomni was able to unabstract Jax thanks to a close personal connection, that could have opened the possibility for Jax to redeem himself by unabstracting Ribbit and Kaufo. It'd be a way for the show to earn its everybody lives happy ending.
>>
>>154096980
>wanted to have their cake and eat it too
Yup. Pretty much sums up the whole show actually.
This was all just Gooseworx playing dollhouse with OCs.
No discipline, no desire to look past their own preferences and biases, no time dedicated to research. Just indulge indulge indulge.
In this episode the characters dress up in funny costumes!
In this episode character D emotionally opens up to character A!
What does it all amount to? Well uhh, you felt emotions! I guess. That's the only thing that matters, right? Emotions and silly fun? Hi I'm Gooseworx and I'm in my 30s by the way, I don't have any deep thoughts or any real beliefs on anything I just want my cartoon dopamine and watch characters roll around in a ballpit and drool.

>no shut UP! this is a DEEP and MATURE show for ADULTS! this is not for KIDS! this is ART!!!!
This is a cartoon soap opera.
"Omg will trish forgive dave for cheating on her? I gotta watch the next episode!" kind of shit.
It's junk food.
>>
>>154106217
>It'd be a way for the show to earn its everybody lives happy ending.
I'm sorry but I think the problem is that you expected this show to end happy. what you retards need to understand is that some stories are just better off with sad or bittersweet endings. If anyone was able to unabstract anyone that would be a terrible writing choice. That means in the last 20 years, nobody would have tried to unabstract anyone important to them, which just isn't plausible. Unabstracting isn't just lazy writing, it erases consequence and cheapens the entire story.
>>
>>154106258
I think genetic dead ends like you should be euthanized. Literally not a single word of this jaded dribble was coherent or on the mark, and every letter of it was fueled by cynical hate.

I literally put on 80lbs because of a fetish. I'm losing it now, and it did effect my health, but I would not do things differently, the experience and fun I had was a chapter I'm closing but also a cherished memory. Again, call me crazy but it's my right to do with myself.
>>
>>154097005
Ah, but it only saves their memories to the hard disk once per day. Thus when the computer starts up again and restarts the simulation they will only recall what happened up until that moment. Due to the fact that Kinger has been there the longest he's in line to get his memories saved first and avoid the amnesia induced by the mysterious daily brownout. It's Groundhog day at the Digital Circus and only Kinger can rescue it from this endless cycle!
>>
>>154106217
instead they made the point that everyone in the current ADC's reap selves was doing good and was happy. It was one of the most optimistic attempts at a "nothing really matters here" conclusion

TADC is emotionally dumb. It's impulsive indulgent shit made for dummies.

Bubble died. Caine was a tyrant and did not want to be hated to the point they would kill him and instead of not accpepting it and punishing the humans he thought about it and chose he wanted to be worth their care and not just trying to push them around. He found their free will alluring as messy and broken as the humans are just like he is messy and broken and he granted them political power in his domain and opened all the adventures he had locked away from them and began to learn more about them by going on adventures with them to experience what they experience. He said "I don't expect you to forgive me but I hope you will take my offer." He told the moon "I don't know if I'm doing the right thing by FORGIVING THEM". He's actually the bigger man here and the humans who never cared about Caine at all could use a set of working hands even if they don't. Zooble made Caine's coconut drink and it was a peace offering but also a surprise gift that Caine may have not just taken as "okay we are working things out" but no one has ever made ANYTHING for him in his life. He was always the machine.
He's embracing help and allowing himself to not be perfect which Jax never did.

They should have spent more time on them coming to terms with them being brainscans or how Caine manipulated Scratch to become the first abstraction or literally anything else of consequence. So much in the finale either happens instantly or off screen, and the main chunk of it is just floundering around Jax for most of the runtime.
