I think it could've worked in like...the 2000s. Nowadays? They haven't really known what to do with Spyro for ages and any show made about him would reflect that lack of direction.

Spyro's characters have ugly designs if they're not main dragons like Spyro and Cynder. Everyone else looks wobbly. And I hated Elora's stupid Must Lust For Spyro personality since its just annoying. Bianca also got ruined because her role is to fall in love with a shitty retard. And no one who isn't a furry homo likes that idiot cheetah.

Spyro characters aren't like Sonic characters who have fun dynamics. They're visually misshappen like they don't belong in the same universe and aren't especially entertaining. Even Banjo Kazooie did better at constructing its characters and their dynamics.

The best direction to take Spyro in would be Friendship is Magic. Meaning episodic cartoony antics but the season finales introduce big villains to take down.

But my take is treat Spyro as a world traveler. He already goes to different universes so use that as the backdrop of a new series.

I could definitely see that working out. Hell it's practically baked into the game itself. Could possibly combine the world traveler aspect with an episodic FiM approach, too, would honestly be a really good show concept.
