I watched up to episode 7 last night and saw The Last Act after work. I really liked it; I was in a pretty consistent stream of tears during the last ten or so minutes.

I was incredibly emotionally affected by the concept of brain-scan replicas of flawed versions of individuals from different eras, seeing what the real versions of them were like and how they overcame the things they struggled with.

At first, I felt a little discontented with the idea of Caine returning, but it was all building up to that scene, and suddenly the idea made sense.

The lore was almost always secondary to me, and what I loved about the show was the character moments and comedy. While the finale was light on comedy, it was heavy on emotion in a way that really worked for me.
