honestly going full alp might be a first step to unlocking further monsterization if you think about it. A fledgling Alp has very little mana/spirit energy/whatever kenkou cross said the powersystem was and as such could be susceptible to outsode stimuli, especially in the early denial stages. I'm thinkin they're like eevees, and occur as a first stage of a male's monsterization. Say an inari spirot possesses a guy on mistake. The poor sap first becomes an alp, and then a proper fox.
