One method that seems to be pretty consistent for me for detecting AI images: if there's a large region of a flat color, open it up in an image editor and drag the eye dropper tool across it and see if the color value subtly changes. AI starts with white noise and gradually morphs it into the image, but it usually doesn't converge 100%, leaving some splotchy noise in regions of solid colors. A real artist uses paint brush tools or fill tools set to a specific color, which doesn't leave that. Of course, the artist could be using night shade, or there could be shading or gradients, or jpeg artifacts around edges, or if an AI artist knows about this, they could fix it with post processing, or if they're tracing it also doesn't show up. But usually it's a dead giveaway.

If you're going for the heist idea, you could have her run out of easy options and decide to hit up a place she heisted some time earlier. She still knows the layout, so executing her plan should be simple. Should, anyway.

If you are currently subbed to people then it'll still work just fine. But attempting to sub on anyone new/changing your card(s) in any way on current subs you will be fucked.

I did both (unaware this was implemented back in '24) having an issue subbing to a new artist & thinking a reset would help with the former which instantly led into the latter. There's talk of switching to JP language, buying Pixivcoban for a pseudo-PayPal, or checking if your card falls under "3DSecure" or some fuckery, but every workaround so far is also getting stonewalled.

Word-salad aside I'm still pissed but very tired, so tldr; DON'T lose/change your card if you can help it.

Whats funny is I did sub to a fanbox some years back.
My card worked the first time but when it tried for the next month my card got blocked.
So yeah, real weird, things have probably changed over the years so I'm not to sure what it is like now.
I stopped subscribing once I realized what was going to happen, didn't want to talk to my bank each month just to let them know a single solitary charge form Japan was coming through.
And I'm not too sure what the hell is up with the 3DS bullshit but I can use my card just fine on booth and I use a tiny little local credit union, so your mileage may vary.
