Saw this in the other thread and wanted to talk about it. I am an artist. I draw muscle content sometimes. It only gets shared to some of my gooner friends. No I don't post it anywhere. No I won't post it here. Pic related is not my work.

I think the main reason why fetish art is falling off across the board, besides AI, is that it's become harder and harder to do fetish art while maintaining any sort of professional ambition. I work in animation and one of the things that you constantly have to do for jobs these days is post your social media accounts, since that's where a lot of people post their work currently. Nobody is going to hire you if they go on and see a bunch of fetish art content, that's considered pretty toxic. Even if you're an independent creator that wants to do something besides fetish art like an artbook or a comic or something, people that aren't into what you're into are going to think it's weird when they open up your socials.

The amount of time and effort this takes is pretty immense. If you don't want to be caught at all, your fetish art has to be super stylistically different from your normal art. Even if you don't care to that degree, you're still investing essentially double-time both for fetish art and for your own personal ambitions. A lot of people don't have the time or the energy for that.

There's also just the fact that since the demand for fetish art, particularly anatomically well-done muscle art, is so high, a lot of people get burnt out on commissions, requests, etc, especially if it becomes the only thing that they do. I've gotten to talk to some big names in the muscle art space (no I won't say who), and burnout and bad commissioners are a constant in their discussions.

This is part of the reason why AI kind of gets a pass in the fetish space, even among actual artists (one of the people I know has experimented with it pretty heavily just for the sake of getting their rocks off despite being an extremely skilled artist). It creates art that's anatomically convincing at a level that lots of people can't accomplish, and it never burns out and can always make more. That satisfies the market demand. For a lot of fetish artists, especially the really good ones, the "fetish" part is more of a hobby or a side-aspect. They have real art that they'd rather be doing and monetizing the fetish content is either a means to an end or just what ended up happening in their lives. If it was never something that you wanted to do in the first place or just something that's not nearly as fun as doing something else, then you're going to burn out fast and hard.

In the earlier days of the internet where there was more separation between online posts and real life it was easier to have a normal job doing art and then post weird shit on the internet. Not anymore, so lots of people have to keep themselves squeaky-clean if they want to keep getting work. Every once in a while I consider becoming a fetish artist because I know that I can meet the demands of that audience, but then that's what I'd be known for. I wouldn't be able to make the things that I really, truly want to make and have people take those things seriously. So, I don't post anything.

I think that's the case for a lot of artists these days and why to an increasing degree the only kinds of muscle art you get are "normal artists" making a "buff OC" and calling it a day. It's a way to indulge without causing too many problems for yourself down the line.

Anyways, what's up with Succubus and Hitman? Every time I skim through it, I find a new, massive turnoff that keeps me away. Is every female character also supposed to be a futa, minus the raped I mean Isana? It's a hentai manga, so debauchery is to be expected, but it's censored such that you can't tell if it's an actual organic penis or a strapon unless the text gives it away. Also, what's with the author seemingly just making that large woman into a Batman just out of nowhere in chapter 59? That was terrible.

Well yeah, img2img is best used if you want to refine something in an image it isn't that great at adding things onto an existing image.
Like you can tell that it tried to add muscle and give you a hyper muscle Aqua but since the prompt doesn't contain any clothing definitions it looked at all the exposed skin and was like
"Oh we are doing nudes then?"
Also things like (1girl, solo), for as much as they get used kinda mockingly in other Stable Diffusion threads are actually big helps at avoiding the three torsos on the legs.
Not that adding some clothing stuff would of necessarily helped as img2img is still going to try and snap down and add onto the base image that you already handed it.
If you want to get her as wide as say >>11497903 it is almost faster to just work off the prompt as a base and just generate a new image and go from there.
You can use stuff like masks and sketching to help add on some extra size as for as little as I've used it, putting some general skin tone with some darker lines where say a two limbs meet would be a big help.
I did something real quick just to show what I'm getting at, still had to specify the tankards, drunk, and everything else, and with the setting I'm using she should be utterly gigantic and she certainly has more muscle yes but not nearly the amount I get from a base gen.

I like this direction. I had some idea that may be adjacent to yours, as I also start off with social constructs and mysogyny keeping women small. Apparantly there is some science backing it up. Modern hypertrophy practices are mostly tailored for men and male biology.

So imagine science has developed new methods for increasing muscle mass for women, using their specific endocrine and metabolic systems. They come up with a special procedure, that allows to rewire their nervous system in such a way to coordinate myogenesis and bone strengthening. Only the results turn out to be scales above what was expected and women start growing hyper. This trait is inheritable, even though males remain widely unaffected.

I like to add my own spin on things. I like to imagine that their specific anabolic process is regulated by their hippocampus: positive emotions trigger further hypertrophy. And social, affectinate emotions are the strongest. The more they deepen their bonds with their mate, the stronger and bigger they potentially can grow.

As I said before my "method" is to use a ref, trace over it, and do the rest on my own, but with this one I had decided to not trace it but instead do the rough shapes and take it from there, so, smartassery aside I am quite proud of how it turned out so far

I have an idea that back in the caveman days women were bigger and stronger. But because of lack of understanding of how weak men were their imbalance of power caused a lot of unnecessary deaths, to the point that it became a danger to our species. As some sort of self-perservering mechanism they started to get smaller until they became as weak as you know them. This happened way back then where people can't even find fossils for those big women.
But in the modern day, with the abundance of resources and women understanding how they don't kill their loved ones, this genetic reality is coming back slowly.

That's the type of size difference I like. It's tough to pull off, as you need to portray both parties in one picture. Makes for a difficult piece to draw.
Also it's difficult to not stray into dom stuff. Some may like it, but I kinda love that fine line, between clear physical superiority, but opposite attitute (caring, benevolent, loving).

I had something similar in nature with one of my own OCs (can't post here, not anime enough):
"Pecs pressing into her chin, biceps brushing her sides, triceps pushing far behind, she was about to complete her pose. She stopped as she felt an all too familiar burn, announcing yet another surge of growth. She let out a deep, yet restrained moan, as her skin started to stretch to accomodate for the incoming onslaught of excessively dense mass. She felt a rush coursing through her veins. She knew she was going to get a whole lot bigger than this."
The anticipation creates even more excitement. The slow burn makes the whole process much more enjoyable.
I don't necessarily love the self-indulgence that may come with it, but I do love the idea of progressive bewilderment. She's constantly surprised by how much bigger she can get and how exponentially stronger she's getting. She learns to enjoy it, endorphins being released with each mega flex, but she still remains a good girl.

I think my ideal method of muscle growth has always been some kinda magic thingy existing out in the world that's basically freely available (and also it only affects girls because of course)

As I said before I like the idea that there's girls out there that probably would enjoy being big and strong if they give it a chance- hell there's probably girls that watched The Avengers and started fantasizing about BEING the hulk.
So the appeal is that there's effectively 0 barrier between girls and muscle, and even the laziest of girls get the chance to experience having muscles.

The thing I love is when it starts from a very simple curiosity or desire, they want gym class to be easier, they want to slim down a little, they want to carry their groceries, whatever.
But actually experiencing having muscles and strength may awaken something in them. It might feel so good that they can't help but wonder "Would it feel even better if I was even bigger?"
You see? Its the way the girl's ambitions rise with her muscles, the way she gives up on self-restraint because the idea of lifting a car sounds way too awesome to pass up.

Plus, I like to focus on the different stages of a girl's growth.
