Eh, game mechanics in that game seemed passable enough for the most part QoL iirc. Definitely could rework the battles early in the shrunk segment because making you kill a ton of enemies in one fight with 1 (2 at best if you avoid the cat-leveling trap) party member(s) and zero muti-target skills/items but the "lose maxhp but instakill everything" button is painful. And speaking of that, make the cat not run away because you leveled it too much during the phase that otherwise wants you to level as much as you can before starting the shrinking bit.
[spoiler]Also, not a QoL thing but in a remake I'd definitely want a bonus dungeon with another cute girl that gets giantess scenes. Kitsune goddess of the local shrine or something maybe?
