A hermaphrodite must have both reproductive systems or a way to produce both male and female reproductive cells (in this case sperm and eggs) or it is not a hermaphrodite.
There have been people born with both penis and vagina (to varying extents) but as you say, not both functioning reproductive systems.
The only hermaphrodites that exist are other animals. Nudibranches for example hook up and both end up "pregnant" after mating.
Technically clownfish are hermaphrodites too but not the kind that a futa is. Being able to swap reproductive organs even while only having one at a time does qualify as a type of hermaphrodite.

Imo it's most productive to start with the bodily attributes:
traps and femboys have no/minimal breasts (and some reasonably minimal amount of other female secondairy sexual characteristics)
dickgirls and shemales have breasts (and some greater amount of other female secondairy sexual characteristics)
Futa can be defined as either needing to include a vagina or by the extremeness of both dick and female secondairy sexual characteristics. I don't love the latter but the tagging cites tend to do that if not making it a straight "girl with dick" synonym with "Full packagae futanari" then functioning as the former.
Femboys and traps are overlapping sets. Trap refers to the ability to suprise a presumed male into considering one a (hot/cute) girl. While femboy refers to general femininity in a guy. A crossdresser can be a trap but not a femboy.

A trap is any young (<25) femboy who looks and sounds exactly like a cute young girl except for his penis. Not all femboys are traps, most are just androgynous.

Technically a futa is any dickgirl with a pussy, but in recent times that aspect has been dropping off. I consider that any dickgirl who was raised as a woman from birth (i.e. no need to "come out" the way trannies do), and naturally underwent a female-like puberty without the need of external hormones is a futa.
Bonus: Newhalf is any trans woman that still has her dick, especially if she wants to keep it
