How do I patch this utility sink in a way that makes me forget what happened?

Soak it all in bleach overnight
>>
>>2984180
Can you explain how this is supposed to patch holes that some retard from JCPenney drilled, while making it look like nothing ever happened?
>>
>>2984181
Bleach it harder, or go buy a new utility sink and install it. Or fiberglass it or some shit. I figured you were talking about the mess.

>I figured you were talking about the mess.
No, are you intoxicated?

A little bit. I spent most of the day painting.

You know what, it doesn't matter. I'm not the one who fucking did this, it was my ignorant old man who gave the dumbass deliveryman from Pennies permission to ruin something because they're too fucking stupid to realize you need U-bend hose holders, like what everyone uses, and what we used previously.

We've been fighting about this for years, and it's impossible to just let anything go when their stupidity has left permanent unaddressed effects on this world that we have no choice but to live in. The holes aren't even above the spillover median. I might as well just commit seppuku.
>>
Alcohol, it is great for filling holes and forgetting, should also help you not obsess over stupid shit that does not matter.
>>
>>2984197
Stupid cumulative shit that ruined years of your life and still affects it to this day?
>>
>>2984199
You are trying to make it look like it never happened, are you worried about the resale value or something? Do you also fight with your dad for removing it from the original packaging and throwing the packaging away? The cumulative effect that is ruining your life is the obsessing over stupid meaningless shit, if you have problems with water leaking out through those holes just squirt some caulk in around the cable ties and move on, its a filthy utility sink ffs.

JB weld, silicone
>>
>>2984185
What would possess you to reply to a tripfag?
>>
>>2984187
Have you tried giving less of a fuck about things? If not, maybe you should...

Silicone a piece to the back side. Silicone a piece most of the way up the front of the holes but leave space to fill. Fill them with either CA glue mixed with particulate cement or baking soda, or fill it with ABS plastic melted down with acetone, or straight on epoxy. Sand it smooth.
>>
>>2984187
Tell us more about the aggravating minutae of your strained relationship with your father.
>>
>>2984177
Just patch it with some plastic-weld and lightly sand it. It's not gonna match, but it's a fucking $120 garage sink.
>>
>>2984202
>You are trying to make it look like it never happened, are you worried about the resale value or something?
No, just not wanting to think about all the stupid shit my father had done to destroy numerous things we owned, and I want him to look at it and know how wrong he was.

>Do you also fight with your dad for removing it from the original packaging and throwing the packaging away?
Removing what, the washing machine (+accessories) that the delivery retard from Penny's installed?

>if you have problems with water leaking out through those holes just squirt some caulk in around the cable ties and move on
The singular cable tie that is pictured is getting removed.
>>
>>2984269
And then?
>>
>>2984423
Stuff for plastic probably isn't going to work because this sink is not made of plastic, it's like some kind of compressed fibrous material.

It's a sink that was never meant to be irresponsibly damaged in a way that hinders it's function (to hold water) in the first place.
>>
>>2984423
>It's not gonna match,
Oh yeah, I forgot to ask how do I make it match?
>>
>>2984177
gorilla glue and paint

let the glue dry, sand it down to match the surface level and smoothness, and then use some kind of spraypaint to match the base color of the sink

you can then use a finetip paintbrush to fill in the minor blue details
>>
>>2984183
fiberglass patch might be a better alternative, I think gorilla glue gets bubbly when it dries and expands
>>
>>2984177
put a short stainless steel carriage bolt affixed to a stainless washer and a rubber washer through each hole, attach to a nut and washer on the back. it'll be sealed and look semi decent. you're never going to fill this with enough crap to make it invisible anyway.
>>
This is the weirdest "sticking it to my dad" shit I've yet seen.
He's not going to be impressed, or cowed, or have some kind of revelation about how wrong he was by seeing you do a crappy job of patching up a hole in a cheap sink.
Get a job and move out. That's really all that can be recommended here. You can start obsessing about your own broken stuff if you then so choose.
>>
>>2984177
make the hole bigger then stick the tubes through there
>>
>>2984667
Gorilla Glue is a terrible glue for this, but everything else sounds decent.

>>2984672
It does.
>>
>>2984677
>or have some kind of revelation about how wrong he was by seeing you do a crappy job of patching up a hole in a cheap sink.
That's why I wanted to do a good job.

>Get a job and move out. That's really all that can be recommended here.
I already got one, my disabled father is the person trying to move out (instead of helping his family). If he wouldn't argue so much, I'd love to take care of him when he gets even older.

>You can start obsessing about your own broken stuff if you then so choose.
Good, cause I can't stay mad at myself.
>>
>>2984680
Lol, they might as well have done that.
>>
>>2984705
>That's why I wanted to do a good job.
You seem to have purposefully misconstrued what I'm saying. You could do the best job in the world here and all you've done is fixed a cheap sink that your dad doesn't care about. It won't change anything between you and him.
What do you anticipate will happen when you fix the sink? He'll "see how wrong he was"? What does that mean?
>>
>>2984709
>You seem to have purposefully misconstrued what I'm saying.
Yes, because I want to fucking do it!

>What do you anticipate will happen when you fix the sink? He'll "see how wrong he was"? What does that mean?
It means he'll see there was a better way to do something, and he'll be one step closer to being someone who doesn't have a reckless disregard for other people's property. That sink is not his, and he doesn't own this residence.
>>
>>2984712
>Yes, because I want to fucking do it!
Even if there is a good reason not to do something, you'll misunderstand that reason on purpose so you can do it anyway? That's retarded.
>It means he'll see there was a better way to do something, and he'll be one step closer to being someone who doesn't have a reckless disregard for other people's property.
You feel powerless so you're making up bizarre scenarios where you'll fix everything through what you do (barely) have control over.
If he has no regard for it, why would he give a shit if it's fixed again? He already doesn't care. I don't care either. It's just some piece of shit sink.
>>
>>2984717
>Even if there is a good reason not to do something, you'll misunderstand that reason on purpose so you can do it anyway? That's retarded.
It doesn't matter, I just want to do what I said.

>If he has no regard for it, why would he give a shit if it's fixed again? He already doesn't care. I don't care either. It's just some piece of shit sink.
Cause maybe if he sees the pipes fed through U-bend hose holders and draped over the side, like how it was for the other washer, maybe he'll realize how goddamn retarded it was to have it drilled through the side of the sink! No one does that shit. It's not like telling him anything will make him listen, especially if you're family.

Then again, this is the same person I had to call the police on recently because he was getting all argumentative when he confused details about something else, and started doing erratic shit.
>>
>>2984672
Bondo can fix anything
>>
>>2984750
>I want to do this, and I don't care if it's retarded.
Then you are a retard.
The rest of your post is just you hoping really really hard that maybe if you fix this sink your dad will sort his life out. Get real. If you want to change something about your living situation this is not the way to be doing it. You're just too much of a dumbass to see any other alternatives, so you've decided therapy for dad via fixing the sink is what you're going with and whether it makes any sense at all be damned.
>>
>>2984755
>so you've decided therapy for dad via fixing the sink is what you're going with and whether it makes any sense at all be damned.
Well, family therapy was fucking useless because insurance didn't want to pay for it. I was the only one who ever wanted that anyway, y'know, so we could fucking listen to eachother.
>>
>>2984751
as a service plumber i've been to multiple houses where a tennet bondo'd around a leaking tub drain
...it worked, never was the reason I was called there
>>
just use some bondo and sand it down, doesn't have to look good it's a utility sink and why does it even matter? you're not gonna fill that shit up with water that high
>>
>>2984705
>Good, cause I can't stay mad at myself.

That's where you're wrong kiddo...
>>
why the fuck are you worried about a 1/4" hole two inches from the top edge of the sink that's 28" deep

the fucking sexbot guy's thread is more worthwhile than this shit
