>Only 10% the space of a regular fridge, still uses half the power or more.
Post inefficient appliances that shouldn't exist.

Basically every time I've ever seen one of those, they're on someone else's power bill. A dorm room, an office etc.

I'm not posting a picture of my wife, anon... Nice try.
>>
space consumption is an aspect of efficiency
>>
>>2987943
they would have more room if they put the compressor under, on top of, or behind the unit.

>still uses half the power or more.
A standard fridge uses about 5 amps max.
small ones like that you 1 amp max.
so 1/5 the power.

A chevy tahoe with a 1 gallon gas tank vs 40 gallon doesn't use less gass just needs to fill up every mile. Hope my analogy works for you

Maintaining cool air uses the same energy in an insulated space.
>>
>>2987963
space is smaller so easier to cool.
>>
Your complaints are valid but it lets me have cold drinks in my garage/shop, where a full-size fridge would be impractical, so it's worth it to me.

I worked for a small appliance manufacturer, not going to tell you which one, and about once every two or three years we got a complaint about our >1W vampire current draw. Out of about a million units sold every year.
>>
>>2987945
Yep, that was me. Had a cheap peltier type fridge under my desk at the office. My employer, a top law firm, was incredibly rich so I didn't care about the electric use and doubt they would have either.

Samsung claims their AI fridge makes peltier cooling efficient in a hybrid construct.

Yeah this is silly. They’re way cheaper to run.
>>2987943
If you somehow got a messed up one just attach $5 of insulation to the outside.

My 20 cubic foot LG LTCS20020S is running between 50 and 60 watts for a total of around 0.75kwh a day. If it didn't have to defrost it would probably be around 0.5kwh a day.
>>
>>2987971
Easier to heat too. Square-cube law is a bitch and in this case, smaller is worse

this anon's .5 a day for only 3.5 cubic feet lol >>2975408 >>2975405

Pretty much. It's a good indicator that the person has a substance use problem when in a private domicile
>>
>>2990937
That used to be true for me, but it wasn't my own substance abuse problem - my brother is a raging alcoholic and when we lived together I couldn't leave anything alcoholic where he could get to it or it'd be gone by the next morning.

I have an inverter fridge thats supposed to be pretty cheap to run, but it is the fan runs constantly and is stupid noisy

Volume increases with the cube of the dimension. Surface area, with the square.

Bigger is better.
>>
Get one without the useless "freezer" part. I did and it's better. It just fills up with hard ice anyways.
>>
>>2987943
Thats the brice of freedom :DD

was cleaning out my pantry and remembered that there was an oddly placed outlet in the back. found one of these Cuisinart Wine Fridges on Marketplace for $50 and it fit perfectly. turn it down to lowest setting of 39 degrees F and it keeps normal drinks cold enough and you can fit two 12 oz cans where a single bottle of wine would go.

not sure about the power usage but it does produce a bit of heat out of the back but nothing crazy.

wait, what makes you think this?

Birkeland–Eyde; pvt gas law there is more than one varible that can be adjusted and bigger the delta from room the more energy.
