>What am I in for?
i feel like you should already know this as well as what equipment would be the most productive before inking your name on a quarter million dollar note
>>
Start by buying some beater equipment off a surplus auction site instead of starting out in a lifetime's worth of debt like the other anon said.

Debt. Buy a clappered out van and a chink 1t mini excavator, $10k investment, get some jobs and clients going, then buy/rent other equipment as you actually get relevant job offers.

This has all the basics, hydraulic thumb, quick attach, 3-way valve on aux. You need a trenching bucket and maybe a hydraulic hammer and a 3' bucket for loading/grading, that's it.

Are you fucking serious nigger? For land clearing you need a D8

Op lease a used mini ex and start with small excavating jobs first. Get your feet wet before making major investments

You know mankind can improve nature by clearing land that has invasive species growing on it right? You're not completely retarded are you?

land clearance basically fucks streams in the area for generations

tons of loose sediment fills up and chokes the rivers

>lets all be passive and just let nature happen to us
you are a genetic aberration that only exists because life has gotten incredibly easier in the past 150 years.
Man conquers, man tames, man builds. If the thought of a man improving his property to his standards offends you and you need to fall back on 'muh environmentalism' because youre a jealous urban faggot with no land, please do the gene pool a favor and kill yourself.

Yeah because all the unnaturally occurring invasive species of brush and other bullshit doesn't choke stuff up too... Fuck off with your tree hugging hippie bullshit.

step 1 get a ritchie bros acct
step 2 get 3/4 blitzed on auction day and bid away
step 7 figure out why the pile of scrap metal you bought was sent to auction

You're better off doing sewer relines for residential. You can charge 12-16k per client. Just need a mini ex and a lumpkin to go in the hole you dig. It's super easy work, just a big gross because they will shit on you without fail.

Best way to clear a fresh plot of raw land on a low budget? What about a medium budget if it takes most of the work out?

Yup it also needs new pins, bushings and cutters for the bucket. I got it for a steal, also no emissions on it. I have a friend who has a demo company and a friend with an excavation business who helped me find it.

This, depending on what part of the mid Atlantic you might be near a Ritchie Bros yard, there's one near Elkton MD.
