the reason why you are getting abuse is that almost everything you need to build that is shown in the picture. the parts mostly don't matter. the only thing not obvious is the one way respirator valves for exhaled breath.

I might not be able to build something that is EXACTLY like that but I can bang something out that would work. I even have a ton of the respirator valves. I bought them during covid.

but really what is the point of that thing. it's an over engineered dust mask. a paint respirator would work better and be less trouble to use.
