I'm renting a townhouse and have a garage door like picrel.
All the neighbors got steel/aluminum garage doors recently but they said mine is in good enough condition so it wont be replaced. Its heavy and loud as fuck, my fat ass can't handle it.
What can I do to do damage the door to make it look like wear&tear? I've been spraying rainwater on it to promote rot and mold but its not working. Ideally something that will make it look ugly and unsafe so they're forced to do something.

It's supposed to have springs that help with opening. If your springs are damaged or worn then get them to replace them. Or buy an electric garage door opener, they cost like $200-$300, the one in your pic already has it.

They won't let me install my own garage door opener and insist I use their contractor which quoted $1000 for just the labour.
I've opened the neighbors doors manually and it's way easier. I think I just need to make it look ugly enough that they approve the replacement. It's not some small time landlord it's a big corpo.

You fucked up when you asked about it. They wouldn't even have noticed that they suddenly have a garage door opener. But anyway, springs, tracks, wheels. Check what is causing it to be hard to open. Springs are the most likely culprit. Pour acid on them if you want them to corrode and fail and maybe ask the retarded corpo overlords to fix it for you, or buy the new spring and /diy/ it yourself. Even if you have the opener, they only exert so much force, so if your springs are fucked it won't be strong enough to open the gate, alternatively might rip out the attachment point.

Like evict you because you're a retard who gave them prior notice that you wanted X done and they said no and suddenly the related item now has damage that wasn't there when the property manager last inspected the rental before signing a lease agreement with you.
Are you incapable of thinking ahead to other potential negative outcomes to this situation?

Yeah, because it's their property and they want receipts and reports that the work was done to meet their requirements, not yours.
