I live in a trailer off grid.

I have propane tanks (the standard kind you see at a gas station) and gasoline jerrycans like OP pic.

I’m wondering if they are safe from lightning and if not if there are any projects I can do to make them so.

Try not to store them in or around trees or tall structures, otherwise you should be OK.

In the future get some real metal jerrycans instead of those barf-o-matic plastic pressure bottles, and search for the SQTDDTOT thread before posting.

I prefer the VP racing cans over any other type of gas can.
