Hey, just a question. Wanted to save some manga pages, I've found a site with a good translation + a good quality scan, wanted to right click on it but it was to be expected, it's blocked, well usually it's not a big deal, I just inspect the site and use the devtools to get the pics, but on this particular site, when you open the devtools, the site is automatically refreshed every seconds.
Yeah I can use another site but the scans are bad quality, and the translation is shitty (And made by AI).

Cases like what you posted are just publisher self-regulation. There are two general rules of thumb: 1. More explicit content helps sell volumes 2. More explicit content in a volume is less likely to get in trouble than a serialization
There are probably lots of cases where English speakers are given the less explicit version, but there are also cases where the English version is more explicit than even the Japanese volumes (Ero Ninja Scrolls aka Arakusa Ninpouchou, for example). With so much content and disparity between platforms it's really confusing nowadays to find the most explicit version.

Pubic hair was considered an obscene depiction until the 90s when the interpretation changed to explicitly allow it, for example.
Conversely, there was a period in the late 2000s and early 2010s where manga publishers experimented with minimal censorship under the hope that 2D may be exempt from the obscenity law. Look at H-manga like Sweet Lip by Thomas or Fool Girl by Doi Sakazaki, where many of the genitals are completely unobscured. Champion Red Ichigo, where Kuro Kuro and stuff like Bakekano was published, was a goldmine for envelope-pushing manga. Unfortunately, the governor of Tokyo around that time pushed for restricting manga, so publishers pulled back.

In those days magazines were considered temporary, so sometimes the magazine publication actually had less censorship. I know that Nyatto and Konohana at least had some more extreme depictions in the mag compared to the tankobon, but I don't have comparison images unfortunately.
