Same applies to other famous old artists of old manga.
The reason being they drew a lot but back on the day when they were active promotion weren't done the same way and was rare to see one that wasn't covered with a ton of bullshit and text,
If there was a magazine article about a series and the artist did an image for it, it would be the background and all the text of the interview would be directly above it and you could barely see it.
Clean images were rare and the ones that were clean were hanged in a wall with a frame not something your random dude could digitalize.
So, for old authors even very prolifics ones is not unusual to have low artist count, because there isn't much out there you can scan and put on the boorus.
Only the cells, but I don't think cell collectors would usually scan the shit their purchase.

I tried them, they all tried to crash my PC when generation is at 99%.
They constantly load, unload, move the checkpoints around, causing unnecessary resource use.
It wasn't like that before, it seems that with each update these forks become more and more unoptimized.
In comfy i can generate big images, with huge workflows without issue. The problem is that they lack important nodes.

it's a base model with not much aesthetic bias, also natural language descriptions have much more significant influence than any SDXL model.
artists mix but not in the way you'd expect from SDXL
but it's the least sloppa anime model and there's no going back.

almost the exact same as training on noob aside for a few caveats. i set keeptokens to 1 and add @artist as a trigger to use in the prompt. you also don't need as high of a learning rate and you can reduce the amount of steps you're training for by nearly half. and finally do not train the llm adapter or text encoder (although you shouldn't be training text encoder for a simple style/char lora anyways).
it takes longer to train per step on anima than noob but i break even on training time because of how little training the model needs overall. obviously all of this might change with later versions

Yeah, it's a big step. I found that natural language helps bring context to even simple prompts. Like, if the tags are the ingredients, but they're not arranged exactly how you pictured it mentally, you can use natural language to get the right arrangement. especially with poses it is helpful

Honestly, I don't think this anima model is anywhere near finished. It just seems to work "fine" with artists, not even "great," just fine, but sucks at everything else. It doesn't seem to be able to pull basic anime coloring as default or pull out anime screenshots.
Also, the whole "use tags or natural language or both!" doesn't seem to work. I tried to make a girl holding a gun pointing at the viewer; with natural language, it worked, but with tags only, it didn't.
"Open clothes" seemed to work with either.
It seems it works well with either simple actions and poses, but the moment you complicate things just a little, it needs natural language instead of tags."
For example, with "on one knee," it puts the girl kneeling. You have to go "kneeling on one knee, the other foot planted on the ground."
This is not necessarily a bad thing; I think it's better if poses can be pulled out with natural descriptions. That's a good thing, but I just want to point out that it's not true you can go either tag or caption, but for some actions and poses, it's one or the other; both don't work.
Also, it doesn't seem to recognize basic characters with 15k entries without hand-holding it with traits.
Maybe the final model will be great, but so far I don't find it particularly promising. It seems they tried to make it too good at everything, and as a result, it sucks.
Or at least it will need a certain learning curve to know which things work better with captions and which things work better with tags.
BTW, this is kind of unrelated, but where the fuck is the regional prompter on Forge Neo? It installs it just fine from the extension tab, and its listed as usable, but is not where usually is in other forge branches.

Seems too early for a verdict when there are more versions coming. Style mixing is its biggest weakness, and that is not getting fixed. We will see later about upscaling without tile, or at least tile controlnet to assist it.
It does expect you to be more thorough in prompting. If you leave out "nipples" in an otherwise nude scene it may try to cover them up with some convenient censoring, if you gen an Uma and forget the horse ears it might crop out the top of her head, etc. I suspect because tag dropout doesn't work as well with natural language.
It is already capable of compositions no other anime model can do without heavy controlnet use, or just cannot do period. Its real-world knowledge seems to be much wider too, I've just been testing guns today >>>/h/8857357
It is very accurate at reproducing artists, including stylized anatomy and backgrounds. Best I've seen in any anime model. Only that is not what most people want, they prefer a layer of classic AI slop on top so that the result looks cleaner than the real thing. This will be "solved" easily once the full model is out, and I've already suggested workarounds here in the meantime.

Well the staff is closer but it missed her transparent thingy and wrist cuffs. But yes there might be some weirdness to prompting characters, it really wants you to add all the relevant tags not just her name. Other than the weirdness, character knowledge overall should improve over time. Every preview is trained on top of the previous one, so it just accumulates as it goes.

Emphasis weights change how strongly the concept’s text embedding is scaled, so 0.7 to 1.3 changes the model’s conditioning strength. It is not a guaranteed, clean, size dial. The effect can be nonlinear and entangled with other learned associations, so it is not accurate to promise a neat progression in breast size just from prompt weight alone. ALTHOUGH you may coincidentally get larger breasts, on certain seeds, and then infer that's how it works, and then go to an imageboard and spread viral misinformation.
A slider gives you that precise control.

Yes, but the line is so thin that is a case to case scenario.
If you make Ranma (F) and it looks kind of western in the face it will pass. If you make a super girl and she looks very anime, it will get a pass too.
But if you make super girl or Ariel and the art looks western you may (not necessarily but may) get a vacation.
