I was disappointed to say the least when I saw this irl and tried it on.
The hands, markers and anything that's gold somehow doesn't blend well at all.
And at that price point, I'd like to see the movement too.

You'll grow out of wanting to see the movement on every watch. It's quite unnecessary, and it sucks that you have to go out of your way to find the few watches that leave a place to engrave something these days.
>>18675481
Fuck you. Why can't you at least change the filename. It's so insulting to us that you continue to post something from December '24 as if there's any significance at all. If you still own the watch you could take new fucking pictures. But you're wired wrong. You have to keep doing the same thing, especially if you know people hate it. There's something wrong and bad about your personality. It's a flaw. Do you understand that?
You are inferior to those of us who believe in OC and just being fresh in general. To those of us who consider others.
The first time I saw that watch I thought it was kinda neat. Now I fucking LOATHE it as much as I do you.
>>
After lengthy discussions with my watch mentor and self analysis I've come to the conclusion that all watches are shitters.
Yes, ALL watches. Your Rolex is a shitter because you overpaid for outdated brand slop. Even your Casio is a shitter, but at least it's cheap.
You may think this seems depressing and defeatist, but it's no use trying to argue against logic.
For me, this revelation ties horology to something called positive nihilism; nothing really matters and that's a good thing! You can do whatever you want, go anywhere you dare, eventually you'll still end up in the same place.
This way of thinking has led me on a true path of discovery in horology. I am not seeking status recognition, I'm not trying to impress anyone, I am simply following my heart, buying what I truly want and I'll continue doing so till the day my short stay on this ball of dirt is over.
All watches are shitters, and that's a good thing.

Okay, I'll just write this down for you once, pay attention, kid.
Watches are one of the few accessories/jewelry that men can traditionally wear. A man needs a watch to be considered a working member of society, getting your first watch when you're a teen is a rite of passage.
Watches are functional precision instruments, they keep you organized and literally on time throughout the day, this is the reason quartz (watches) still exist.
As you progress in life you want to signal your elevated social status with a finer timepiece, something more than a mere timekeeper. In this stage of life time is not essential, you don't need to be in your wagie cage within the second. That is why people acquire, or as I like to say, meet mechanical timepieces. Watches such as Omega, Tudor and Rolex.
In a professional or any environment with affluent males, your watch is your Curriculum Vitae, your rank in a way. People will know you had to go further in life than your average poorfaggot mathlete to acquire a fine Patek for example.
Now I don't know your age, but could you imagine being over 25 and wearing a wagie poorfag incel seething bitter faggot lardass brainlet quartz watch in a serious environment? I don't think so, you'll be giving yourself away as a absolute loser in life and people will think there's something seriously wrong with you and wonder why you're even there with your cheap shitter piece of shit nasty crusty chinese watch.
Trust me, you don't want to be part of the quartz horde. Join the ranks of the men with sophistication and class and meet your mechanical watch. Discard your nasty wagie faggot ass piece of shit computer chip "watch".

How embarrassing. You spent like $1,000 or more for a phone? I don't get why people are so retarded to do that. You can get a perfectly good smartphone for less than $200. There's nothing extra you get for an extra grand. It's just *new* and that's very important to zoomers, millennials, and even retarded people of older generations. Having the newest thing. And they've set it up now that in certain social circles you're looked down upon if you don't have an iphone, or you only have an older one. Imagine being in that world and playing by its rules. Telling yourself it's worth it because of extra 'megapixels' on the camera or whatever new little upgrade they dangle. I bet they don't even have to dangle upgrades anymore. I'm sure it's just enough to announce that it's new and then everyone who is socially still in junior high has to drop $1,800 or whatever so they "fit in".
How fucking pathetic of anyone who participates in that. Younger people may not even know it's wrong.

I think its more asinine when people buy luxury Swiss watches that cost as much as a car, if not more. unless you literally never wear it its going to depreciate in some way, so its not really an investment

Not dive dive like professionally but I did wear my TUDOR at the pool. It's nice knowing that the "only acceptable main jewellery" can be tough, elegant and actually useful too.
>Do you wear the watch backwards so the dial is pressed against your wrist?
well you know what people say:
>"I wish I could wear my a Lange backwards"
What are we even discussing here? $5000 watches shouldn't be compromised. Why do we not only accept and defend it but have also normalised this behaviour?
It's nice being able to stare at your watch under macro and appreciate the craftsmanship behind it.

There was this Brazilian guy in late 2010s who convinced many /wt/ users (through sheer spam and determination) that a specific store in Tokyo, Japan sells cheap non-franken vintage watches and that he bought quite a few from there. He guided many users from here to that specific store (I think it's closed now, can't find it on c24 anymore) and well, after a while and many, MANY sold watches later, an experienced user opened the watch and found a different movement inside his vintage grand Seiko than what was supposed to be in. Other users later found out re-polished cases, different backs, wrong crystals etc. turns out this Brazilian guy, whuertantonio, was working there all along. Brazil has a big community in Japan so it makes sense. And obviously many users here are still mad about it.
Some users believe that antonio is still around and spams specific watches for people to buy them. Notice how it's only Japanese watches? Especially the Weekdater guy. It's a team of 5-6 people on a discord server selling watches.

>Oh fuck I totally can't tell which one is a legitimate watch and which one is a mall shitter
>>
>>
>>18679006
It has nothing to do with knowing about watches. A normie that doesn't know any watch brands won't be able to tell you the exact price tag of a watch or why it's worth what it's worth, but if they get a look at your watch they at least know if it's a shitter or not. Like a casio is obviously not an expensive luxury watch no matter how shiny the "metal" looks.
>>
>>
>>18679013
Duh. Quit backpedaling. Digital Casios wouldn't be in this conversation.
The average person on the street cannot tell between grades of metal or shades of gold. Your subjective idea of "shitter" will not match what non-watch people think.
I'm sure it makes you feel better to have spent multiple thousands of dollars on your watch, but I promise you 9 out of 10 people, even up close, would not know yours is worth more than the Aliexpress version of it. And that may simply come down to your own ignorance. You seem to think non-luxury watches are incredibly poorly built and look cheap from afar. You couldn't be more incorrect on that.
People who are not watch people have NO clue about anything. I've spent the last several months learning that as people are interested in the watches I wear but don't know any details beyond "looks great".
>>
>>18679013
Most people below the age of 35 have no idea what a Casio is. They just see a shiny bling item if anything. Regardless, watches are an outdated thing and are just for old men to appear classy. Besides, having rizz, swag, and sex appeal beat having class any day.

I'm quite sure there's NO point. I've never once seen any video made in that format that had a point.
You consume the worst media in the world. Put down the phone. In fact, get a flip phone, read words on paper and be a real person. You'll find the world more fulfilling if you save "the internet" for your PC at home at the end of the day.
I know none of you will ever do that, but it's the best way to live. You can't know until you partially unplug, which you are never going to do.

Just saw this request. It's one of my favorite watches ever. Everything about it is really impressive. Look at the design of the bracelet and the way the springbars curve to match the case. The whole thing has an elegant complexity to it. And the dial absolutely shines; almost glows from any angle. I am not by any means a gold dress watch guy, but when it comes to vintage I don't have any rules besides if it looks great and I can afford it, get it.
I got really lucky bidding on this super early in the morning. And it fits just right like it was meant for me. Such a satisfying wind to it. The action on the crown is solid. It was really well taken care of and serviced by the watchmaker seller before being auctioned. I keep it on a bedside table and never let it die even though I don't wear it out a lot. Sometimes I just wear it to the bathroom. I change watches ten times a day. But this one is special. Both my vintage Wittnauers have Swiss Longines movements too. Should last forever.
