Something non-expensive, something simple, no retinoids or toners or balms or potions. Just a cleanser, a moisturizer, and maybe something to keep pimples at bay. PLEASE!!! Just readily available products for normies that work well for you guys, preferably nothing that will break me out. I beg you.

>Cleanser
Irish Spring bar soap
>Moisturizer
baby oil, or cocobutter, or lotion
>Acne
Stridex 2%

You need to exfoliate two or three times a week so just gently use your loofah or a washcloth while you're cleansing your face with the soap.

I have a simple routine for my oily face and it works great. in the morning I use cetaphil oily skin with spf moisturizer, then when I take a shower at night I wash my face with cerave foaming facial cleanser then use cetaphil oil free moisturizer. the next morning I do it all again. just simply clean and moisturize is all I do and it's great

>Cleanse every morning and night.
>Moisturise every morning and night.
>Apply SPF50 every morning. Top it up every few hours if you work outside or sweat a lot. If you're an office drone, you don't need to reapply during the work day.
Just buy CeraVe if you don't want to do research. Your supermarket probably sells no name products that are 90% as good as CeraVe. Take 10 minutes to compare ingredients and buy the same product for less if you are a poorfag. That's literally all you need.

BEFORE BED

1. cerave cleanser. there's a hydrating one, and a foaming one. the foaming one is stronger for oily skin

2. this is when you would use any real exfoliator. if you have great skin then you could totally ignore this step:
- if you have clear skin and just need random spot treatment, use 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. it's a overnight targeted nuclear strike. that zit will not be there the next morning
- if you're clearing up widespread active acne on your face, use a BHA like salicylic acid. it gets into your pores to break everything up, kill bacteria, and reduce inflammation.
- if you have uneven/bumpy texture or old acne scarring, use an AHA like glycolic acid. this is literally what's used for chemical peels. it's just peeling the top layer to reveal new clearer skin and over a few weeks the old scarring and bad texture will go away.

someone will probably urge you use a retinoid like Tretinoin here, acting like it's a magical skincare panacea, but it's a long-term treatment that most people don't need. it's more for "anti-aging" and trying to get rid of wrinkles. it takes like 6 months to see any real results, while everything mentioned above will work immediately.

3. cerave cream in tub for moisturizer. this is as moisturizing as it gets. you do not need more. if the cream is too heavy, you can use cerave daily lotion.

then go to bed. the PM routine is really simple.

MORNING

some people do cleanser then moisturizer then sunscreen. some people skip parts. it just depends on if you have really dry skin, oily skin, if you're a NEET shut in that doesn't go outside or near any windows, if your PM routine left a residue. etc.

i'm going to assume you need all 3 but you probably don't. the only thing every single AM routine needs is sunscreen. a lot of sunscreens have some some moisturizing stuff in them anyway so adding another lotion or w/e is kind of retarded.

1. your cerave cleanser (optional)

2. cerave daily lotion (optional)

3. and now we get to the annoying part that you can't skip: sunscreen. there's a lot of sunscreens and there's no 1 recommendation because it depends on what you're doing. if you are going out in public then you want a chemical sunscreen like Neutrogena Clear Face, since it won't leave a ghostly white cast like the mineral sunscreens do. if you're exercising outside or hiking etc then you need a water resistant one like Dry Sheer or Sport Face.

on top of this, you need to reapply sunscreen every 2 hours, so you need something you can carry in your bag to reapply when you go outside or if you work near windows etc. most people probably ignore this part

that's basically it. everything here you can get at any walmart/CVS et al. don't buy from Amazon. they sell fakes & expired stuff.
