Women suddenly started wearing blazers and suits as everyday clothing, and now it looks completely normal. When are men going to catch on to this trend? I'd happily wear a blazer with a T-shirt every day, but I don't want to look like an old man.

KYS subhuman. Imagine wearing a blazer over a collarless shirt like a woman. Why are modern "men" so pathetically afraid of wearing a collared/button up shirt?

It can transform the formality. You have to realize 95% of non-menswear nerds will see a OCBD and call it a "dress shirt" because it has buttons. So, even if you're wearing casual e.g. fits in >>18708676 it will be very "dressed up" to most normies. Wearing a t-shirt with it might either make it more abstract/minimalist, or can make it seem more ironic even.
It shows that you're wearing it because you like it not because it satisfies some work dress code, as any work dress code that mandates a blazer/sport coat will absolutely require a collared shirt too.

Because context changes, nowadays anything with a collar is too formal for most occasions. Fashion history is just a long list of casualisation/athleisure. From the frock coat to the morning coat to the lounge suit, or the evolution of tshirts from underwear to casual wear.
You may seethe as hard as you can, but the times have changed chud. You can stay behind like the retards wearing top hats.

They're fat brown polchuds who think autistically following dress codes from 70 years ago makes them superior. You'll never see a single pic of them. Hilariously pathetic really, they should be bullied off this board.

It's like a man wearing a black dress. The entire point of a suit is to accentuate a man masculine features. Women wearing a suit just end up looking like broad shouldered narrow hipped trannies.

Yet again chuds demonstrate their lack of culture and knowledge of fashion history. Women have been wearing suits adapted to their bodies for centuries. From the riding habits, the suffragette suit, Coco Chanel's suit, YSL's Smoking, the 80's corporate power suits as worn by Margarette Thatcher, and so on.
Such a myopic and calcified way of looking at fashion should be banned on a fashion board and relegated to /pol/ or /cgl/.

I can see your point of view. But it seems odd to wear a blazer or sportcoat as a man without at least an OCBD. When im wearing mine casually I just don't wear a tie and unbotton the top button.
I think a lot of the lazyness is that a lot of modern men don't know how to iron a shirt or trousers; or polish footwear.

We "TIP"sters post fits and clothes all the time in our threads. Non-TIP trolls just goof on us and say we look out of date or autistic as if we weren't aware from it going in that dressing in a unique way like that would look out of place.

you don't typically see women wearing suits with shoulder pads out on dates. you do in the boardroom. time and place for everything, they're attempting to project masculinity to emphasize competence and status. it's the same logic as a queen preferring to be depicted with symbols of royal authority like an orb and scepter over a floral bouquet.

now where the fuck are all the bara beefcakes in formalwear and cocktail dresses. they need to be taking the blazer ladies out on dates to the water park

Do what represents the real you.
I normally dress at least smart casual. On my way back from the gym yesterday I stopped in at the grocery store to grab some chicken and broccoli for dinner.
I actually felt naked and uncomfortable even though I was dressed the same as the rest of the athleisure slobs.

I will wear black slacks, a black blazer, and a white button down shirt to client meetings, often with heels, though I've thought about getting loafers (it's the price that stops me, I want Italian). I'll even wear a black tie sometimes, I don't really give much of a damn. Dresses and such are for recreation, and I'll straight up wear pajamas to the grocery store. It's their fault for keeping it 55 degrees in there.

Yeah but you have to realize that even an OCBD was too casual for a lot of blazers/sport coats before. Or how jeans definitely wouldn't have been okay, but they work fine now with non-worsted sport coats.
I'm not recommending it, and if you had to do it it better be a substantial t-shirt (200+gsm) instead of an undershirt. I would prefer a long sleeve merino crewneck instead if we're going for options without a collar. The weird part to me is more than there's no sleeves sticking out - so maybe a long sleeve t-shirt could work?

Heh I didnt know that about OCBD.
One of my favorite combos is dark navy jeans, brown wingtip derbies, OCBD, and a brown corduroy sportscoat in the fall. Whats crazy is I've actually gotten a few "You look like your ready for a wedding!" from a few people lol.
Regarding that long sleeve shirt. Have you thought of maybe a cotton turtleneck? I usually wear merino wool ones under a blazer/sportcoat in the late fall-winter and it looks nice.
