Zoomers are so funny man. If you wore Birkenstock anything just 6 years ago you’d have gotten roasted for it. Now they’re trendy and all the sudden they’re timeless classics that make everyone look good. The ultimate NPCs.
It's hot as fuck where I live all the time and the birks are so comfy but I have never met a woman who likes them. Woman HATE open toed shoes on guys. I'll walk around, see a pretty girl, she'll smile back and then glance down at my shoes and make a disgusted face. Still wear em though.
>>18714652 This is just exaggerated. First of all, not all sandals are the same and there are definitely models that don’t look as bad as Birkenturds. Fishermans for example are pretty stylish imo and you can wear them tastefully if you match them with the proper pants. Second, it’s not true that women never want to see sandals on men. My gf has a legit thing for male feet and she even tried a few times to make me wear Birkenturds, although I always refused. You’d be actually shocked if you could enter a woman’s head and find out how much they care for men’s feet. Most of them are obsessed, be it in the good or bad way. Third, a lot of women, believe it or not, are literally afraid of losing their primacy in the matter of showing off feet. They have been accustomed to think that the beauty and sexualization of feet and toes is their exclusive prerogative, and when they see that men also show them off freely, they become venomously jealous and upset.
So just wear whatever you want and be confident in it. That’s what women want.
>>18714680 mature women definitely appreciate guys that take care of their feet and their shoes. i went on a date with a 46 year old that retaught me how to clip nails lol
>>18714680 Those would look fine at the beach or in some island town off the Mediterranean coast. For men, unless the environment “requires” it there is ALWAYS a better shoe for a fit than sandals
>>18716107 Sneakers? Nah, not really. Paradoxical, but a pair of fisherman sandals looks more classy and formal than a lot closed shoes.
Loafers? Well, yeah, I’ll give you that, but they can only be suede and light-looking. Wearing bulky, structured black loafers in full grain leather in summer looks silly and distasteful. And since you can’t always be in tan suede penny loafers, and sometimes you might want to let your feet breathe a little, a good pair of leather sandals is an excellent option. Not in the city, though, I agree with that. But it’s an option I find aesthetically pleasing, especially for the way it can sit somewhere between casual and formal depending on the outfit you create.
