If you’re really white you can’t actually become brown. Whites have a reddish orange tint to their complexion that keeps them from looking brown. It’s more of a bronze.
You only look nice tan if your skin naturally supports it. Mediterraneans, arabs etc. look better with a tan. Anglocels do not, don't bother.
Also we just go out 1-2 hours a day in the summer and get a natural perfect tan, you to spend money to waste time to look like you got sprayed with poo.
It's a game of compromise. Mitigate sun exposure via hats and spf. Now, that said, let the sun reach your skin some here and there. And yes it will slightly tint you. The epidermis is a gigafactory of vitamin D which makes us all verile, rather than ungodly. That said, in the age if vitamin D supplementation, we can take some of the wear and tear away on the skin, as UV exposure does damage the DNA and dry us out, which ages us quicker than otherwise. Also the when using retinoids it is recommended you avoid sun while the product is applied. And retinoids in tandem with moisturizer are the other modern techniques keeping our complexion young.
