I'm sure some mid grays would make it seem a whole lot edgy. That said I don't think the OP looks edgy. Maybe try-hard and it could be improved with some variance, but definitely not edgy. The jacket looks hideous though. Is it supposed to be a blazer? Yet it has a bunch of button holes in the top of the lapel with seemingly no button for them to hook into. The contrast stitching also stands out far too much considering the rest of the outfit has next to zero contrast. I would also just avoid black blazers in general. Charcoal is infinitely better unless you're going to a funeral.
Also what about very dark taupe instead of black? It could add some warmth (color-wise), although maybe that's what you're trying to avoid with the black.
pic semi-related, not saying it's the best look, but that shirt/pants are what I'm referring to. It looks more mature and less edgy. As would a charcoal if you want to stay fully monochrome.
>>18714205 This. And to make things worse, clothing in the same color will always have some negative association because of how much it resembles an uniform. You either wear it because you're trying too hard or because you are paid to do so. >all black cleaning service (or funeral, what's worse?) >all navy postman >all green military larper
also black is naturally slimming but >>18714188 is *excessively* baggy. You don't need to go for true slim, but the OP is just way too baggy for black.
also texture can help too. a flat color is almost always boring as fuck. look at e.g. pic related as an example
>>18714188 Wear all black when its winter, I had some black low hanging cyberpunkish Rick Owen's cargo shorts i wore with a black tank top + black hat in summer but it looked better when I wore white shoes
