There are military parade uniforms where you wear essentially a pants belt on a coat with no loops on it. OP's belt even has a supporting loop that could be used to keep the overhanging part of the belt in place when worn like this, but he isn't using it for some reason.

I've been wanting to do this forever, just as something to wear around the house for my own amusement. It's probably not a good idea to do this around people you want to stay on good terms with though.
