You could probably win an amateur vs amatuer fight with a good war cry. Sort of Grom Hellscream level. I'm at that level despite not being a fighter. It's a rare thing. You probably don't have it. Just think about all the times you were psychologically damaged by your mother and try to kill him, dude.
>>77308293 The most challenging and worthwhile thing would probably be actually challenging and actually worth something. Raising a family is probably suited for that description. Risking brain and spinal column injuries for nothing is not particularly worthwhile, and there's also more challenging opponents out there. Go jump the fence in a zoo and fight a hippo.
>>77307285 no you dont even if you think you do theyll pull out last second if you do and i was in your corner. i would spam shitty distracting generic advice like "WORK OFF YOUR JAB!". i would also scream the n word a lot.
Just bullrush with your head down and overwhelm the other guy. As we saw with Rico vs Usyk and Mayweather vs Maidana 1 this strategy can beat the two best boxers of the last 50 years. The "sweet science" was exposed yet again two weeks ago, switch to kickboxing.
>>77308588 this, i was an amateur boxer like 8 years ago, and if i could go back in time i would literally just stop thinking and start punching, nonstop pressure
>>77308634 Yeah Usyk tried to do that for 10 rounds until he finally landed one good uppercut and the ref saved boxing from a great embarrassment with an early stoppage.
>>77308669 It wants to be, but at the end of the day if you can't knee someone up the pipe or kick them in the body or legs they can really just put their head down, get the pillows up to their cheeks, and walk into a clinch over and over again.
>be at boxing gym the other day >doing partner drills, coincidentally involves slipping or parrying jab and landing lead hook to the body >I start practicing different ways to get there >partner stops and tells me to do it exactly this one way >I say fine and continue >he starts throwing his jabs at my forehead instead of my chin, which means I don't really have to slip at all, and I have to lift my hands stupidly high (away from my preferred punching position) to parry >he tells me to hold my hands in a high guard, so I can parry his stupid high punches How about instead of trying to make me change my preferred style, you let me fucking work huh >we switch over and he's shit How shocked I was
>>77307285 >what should I do pretend to throw a left/right hook to the chin but strike with the elbow by 'accident'. This happens all the time in boxing.
>>77308293 >challenging Using your brain is what's challenging. You'd know if you werent a boxer >worthwhile Brain damage itself makes it not worthwhile. "good head game" that boxers boast about is also not only gay, but dependant on luck and reflexes which are only going to decrease from now on.
Bullied scared child thinking he can make up for all the years of molestation by getting brain damage, WOW!
>>77307285 I don't fight. But a guy at my gym who is a regional gatekeeper swears by not showering a week before a fight. he says by day three you can't even smell yourself anymore. then he initiates the clench frequently
>>77308588 Except Maidana and Rico both lost. >>77308667 Rico would've got laid the fuck out in the next round and got 30+ seconds to recover from the knockdown when he spit out his mouth guard. Crafty move that bought him some time. Ref was jumping in as the bell rang. Now if you wanna talk Ngannou vs Fury, THAT was a decision that went the wrong way. Ngannou should've won that fight.
>>77311697 If you get a concussion while fighting or playing American football, just make sure to tell someone and go to the hospital and get treated properly. But unless you're getting something that makes it worth it out of it (you're not), there isn't a reason to subject yourself to the risk.
>>77308588 That decision was pure bullshit. Verhoeven is an absolute CHAD and known for quick recovery. They handed Usuk the win because he is from Ukraine.
This probably won't help OP (since he's shitposting no one gets an amateur fight without training) but people always clown on the dempsey roll for the predictable head movement (even dempsey did) but he also talks about the "apple bob" which is basically fake out dempsey roll where you reverse direction on the bob, come up with your head just outside his shoulder and reformat his brain with a shovel hook to the chin from the opposite hand to the slip direction.
god I wish I could do fight from full crouch its so aesthetic but I'm too awkward like that.
>>77316796 >>77316942 Did the mods really delete the post where I said I won because I said the n word? Is this reddit? >>77317620 I was shitposting, kind of. It was just my first fight, I obviously trained. I didn't do anything flashy, just connected more punches than the other guy.
You're not gonna overwrite your training in just one day, so I wont give you tactical advice since I'm not your coach. So basically just focus on your breathing and warmups before the fight. Dont neglect shoulder warm ups, and leg warmups. Skip a bit of rope. Then just regulate your breathing. Dont stress out because that will gas you out more than anything even before the fight. Just enjoy your time there. Its what you're working for all this time. Listen to your coach. If you do a third of what he tells you, you're good. Your opponent's as scared as you, and he bleeds like you. Otherwise just have fun. You're doing a sport, not a war.
>I didn't do anything flashy, just connected more punches than the other guy.
Boxing be's like that especially amateur boxing. It also depends on your style, some guys are better suited out punching their opponent while others do better going for the KO/TKO with Kid McCoy's corkscrew nipple twisting sneaker.
