For those with self defense experience, at what strength levels do you stop noticing major practical benefits in a fight

When you gain the strength to pull the trigger

When it slows you down.
Fast reactions and fast movement is usually what wins a fight. There is something to be said for huge guys that can tank hit or single shot someone even with a poorly aimed blow.

No
Timing > Accuracy > Speed > Strength

Someone who times 1 good shot on a chin with good accuracy is better than 1000 fast shots or 10 ogre slow shots

training, experience, and not being a retarded pussy is superior to strength. None of the victims had any idea how to defend themselves and were easy targets for an aggressive retard who also did not know how to fight. There are endless vids of aggressors getting dropped with one or two punches by a much smaller person who knows how to fight. The best physical fight is the one you are smart enough to avoid. I had a few trainers who regretted the fight they 'won' because of the life long injuries and medical expenses.

Imagine just standing there and waiting for your turn to have your jaw broken after seeing half a dozen guys get the same treatment before you. Nobody considered putting a bar stool over the back of his head?

Most people have never been in a situation like that. You think you know how you will react but have you ever been tested?
>t. brought a tough guy friend with me to a deal i might get jumped at and he screamed like s woman while i fought two assailants

Oh shit it's big man over here hogging all the testosterone inherent in a healthy male.

Their dopamine must be going insane on top of like 3 beers and a pill or something since their body thinks it's some kind of mating ritual/fertility festival.

The skill cieling is much higher than strength. The average person is simply never in their life going to be able to do anything whatsoever to someone with half a brain and good training. It's also a mental thing, some people just don't care about fighting because they're too gay like this guy.>>77316227

I'm pretty sure anyone who lifts is 99% of the time going to have done martial arts for close to 20 hours of their life, which solo training is a shitload of time. It's basically like all of your working sets barring rest entirely.

I'd say it's more problems that you will have if someone is considerably stronger than you and knows what to do with it. Basically everything you practiced wrestling vs someone with abs is now useless.

I once saw a twig of a kid trying to box a bouncer, the twig was good, footwork was lightning fast, his positioning and timing was great, the two chin shots he landed got eaten by the 240lb bouncer who proceeded to bodyslam him after he got too close on his 3rd strike attempt

Unless you're really built for it it's better to evade useless conflicts.

They're drunk and inexperienced.

It's a bar full of fags what do you expect?

It's like 90% weight advantage

Even if a big dude is shit at striking all he has to do is use his weight to wrestle the smaller dude onto the floor and it's over.

Those one hit KO's are rare in reality, if you sucker punch a dude with 100lbs on you and he doesn't go down you're in big trouble. Don't pick fights generally but especially not with guys who are bigger than you.

>Those one hit KO's are rare in reality
It's based off of hitting the jaw with a side hook and quickly twisting the head around which instantly knocks someone out.

Is timing not usually dependent on speed?

Imagine jumping up, and then stomping the ground as hard as you possibly can with your feet. That's a lot of power there, right?

Now imagine being able to make all that power that goes into the ground, go up through your body, and travel all the way to your fist.

That's what fighting is.

Technique.

Your legs are at least 5x as powerful as your arms, even in people who haven't lifted a weight in their life. Your torso is at least 2-3x as powerful. They are what you use you generate force. Your fist is just the final contact point of that force.

Now, if you become very, very, very good at this, then yes, increasing the strength of specific muscles will provide major benefits. Generally if you at least have several years of combat sport training under your belt.

If you don't, it will make 0.000000000000001% difference in a fight. Any untrained person with a great deal of physical strength, who will try to use his arm and fist to generate power, will generate only 5% of the power a weakling will generate, who knows how to use his entire body to drive his arm and fist.
