Absolutely but taking just 5g post workout isnt enough if you're a serious lifter. I do 10g post workout and 5g before bed. Definitely has helped gains and recovery

For some people it will, for some people it won't.

It depends on whether you are lacking in it, it depends on whether your body doesn't process it as well as it should and needs more of it to use it at levels that should be normal, it depends on aspects of your lifestyle and exercise that make you need more of it.

If one or more of these things are the case, then yeah, it will make a difference. If they're not, it won't.
