I used a CF-MemoryStickProDuo-MicroSD adapter chain to use 16GB SDHC cards in a pda that only supported 2GB SD cards natively.
Later added PCMCIA-CF adapter to have those same cards in a laptop without card reader.
None of the CF-SD adapters available back then did not work with HC cards.

After I don't know how many years, I found the actual gif (not some reupload on some vid platform that destroys the quality) on some /fa/ archive!

Depends on the resistance of the wire. It could just get hot or barely warm.

Thank fucking god we moved away from a gorillion different proprietary cards, adapters, and storage formats in favor of just a few and mostly through USB. Only SD cards remain and even they have just been phased out alongside Blu-Ray and DVD.

Nah that's normal, each chip can be up to 1TB these days.
A 2TB SSD can fit on a 22x30mm board.
Sata booard above has 2 chips visible, if there are 2 more chips on the other side it can be up to 4TB drive.
