On the topic:
I bought a used WD Gold 10TB helium drive for 100€ a few months ago, so rising prices are of no concern to me.
It's actually more than I need, since I just have to back up 2x 4TB SSDs.

This is actually the answer.
When one thing gets this expensive, the real solution is to move to another thing that isn't.
I've zero interest in throwing my personal cash into the fire of AI craze. I have enough hardware to last me until it passes. Until then I'll work on other topics.
