Watched this video a while back and it's a pretty good summary of the monitor market.

Everyone is trying to reach the same result through different methods, and while OLED was the first on the market to deliver true blacks by being able to switch of individual pixels, I'm stoked for all the miniLED, microLED and other finer dimmable backlight solutions, as they'll give us the same result at lower price points once they mature enough. For example having an IPS screen with per-pixel backlighting would be a fantastic option, as you eradicate the biggest weakness of IPS while keeping all of it's strengths.

What's our burn-in status oled bros?

Imagine being a retarded faggot who just calls everybody a "shill" to the point that the word has lost all meaning. Vincent makes his money from charging people hundreds of Bongcoins to calibrate their TVs for them. He doesn't need to suck up to TV companies for a living.

That's just microLED, and it's been in development hell for decades and we are never getting it in consumer monitors.
Also, IPS still has non-instant switching delay. If you can get monochrome microLED, you can probably get full colour microLED and not need a separate switching layer.
OLED is basically that but with burn-in, and teething issues in the subpixel layout. OLED has no disadvantages other than its price and limited lifespan (which are pretty annoying when combined together, but not related to the actual display quality).
I'm personally waiting for OLED to get better. Once they finish fixing the subpixel layout, and maybe start layering enough panels that individually each one takes like a decade to burn in, it'll be fine. MicroLED would be nice but we're probably getting fusion reactors first.

What makes it better than OLED in terms of performance?

I still have LG OLED65C8PLA from 2018 and it works fine. You can suck my ass KIKE. I'm stick to OLED. I don't care about ESPN logo cause no use case for me. TV for general use (jeetube, xbox). No broken pixels, no burns.
And I want to get my next gayming laptop with OLED too (Legion 7 with 9955). Fuck IPS.
