FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex
>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

Wait for IoT LTSC 2027 if you can
>Installing apps on LTSC
Use WinGet/Scoop or install MS Store in CMD with: wsreset -i
>W11 Home/Pro/Education/Enterprise/Enterprise IoT

I installed W11 Pro on another machine just fine, selecting "I don't have a product key" then using MAS later.
I'm trying to install it on a new system now and I get the error "setup has failed to validate the product key" when choosing no product key.
How can I fix this?

Guys searching after pressing Windows button is not working in Windows 11. I just updated to Windows 11 btw. On Win 10, I just used to press windows button and start typing and it would show me result. It's not working like that anymore. What's more I can't interact with the Start menu at all. If I try to click on it, it just disappears. Any fixes?

Just upgraded an old laptop to W10 IoT LTSC; noticably faster especially for 4 GB of RAM. Unfortunately had to install Linux Mint on a decade old laptop from the W7 era, but at least it comes with PGP built in so I can buy drugs.
>>
Also, what are y'all thoughts on the future of Windows? Will W12 become a subscription based product like how most applications are becoming nowadays? 2026: You will own nothing, you will compute nothing, and you will be happy.

Is there a way to make it show the full path instead of the breadcrumbs? Or at least make it smaller so it shows the entire thing without making the window as wide as my monitor?
I like the new explorer, but this issue makes it fucking shit.

There will always be corporate and government airgapped systems and ms will not abandon that market any time soon. Worst case scenario is two separately maintained products much like office in browser and real office, or windows 9x and NT.

Windows 7 and XP ISOs are back on Massgrave
>We are proud to announce that we have successfully restored all of the ISOs we used to host onto new hosting providers!
>In order to save space and bandwidth, we are providing most of these ISOs as patch files based on their English variants, using our own custom patch format DumbVersion. See here for more information:
https://massgrave.dev/dumbversion_patches
So basically English ISOs are as they were, but now if you want another language you need to download both the English ISO and the .dvp file of the language you want, then use their patcher to create a proper non-English ISO

Just replaced Windows 11 IoT LTSC with Windows 10 IoT LTSC because I was sick of Windows 11's bullshit and have no regrets.
Realistically how long until I am forced back? It already sucks losing new nvidia driver features later this year.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>108630411
Do you really need more than just the driver for a GPU? I personally despise nvidia's software, so I just installed my drivers with NVCleanInstall and haven't thought about it, but to answer your question it's until 2032 of course

There are different instances of Office installers, some have more apps and some have less apps, the issue is that once you install it they don't let you remove just one app.
The titus tool doesn't recognize it because it targets the bundled OneDrive app that comes with Windows, not the one from Office. iirc the Office version doesn't do anything unless you open the app and set it up.
if you want a custom Office installer with just the apps you need you can go to https://massgrave.dev/office_c2r_custom it's a tool that lets you choose which apps to install

I have a corporate version of Windows XP on CD/DVD from around 2005.
I have a bunch of laptops. Only one of them is a 32-bit computer. Its a shitty dell with a floppy lid which I never liked. The other laptops are maybe like 15 years old and all 64-bit.
I want to install XP on one of the 64-bit laptops.
I'm going to have to use an HDD, ain't I?
any other concerns I should be aware of?

Good evening niggers and negresses. How can I tell if I have the latest ADMXs for my version of Windows? Does Windows Update automatically update those for me? I'm on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2, build 19044.7058.
>>
>>108635101
Check the "date modified" column on files within C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions. If they're years old then you gotta replace them manually because Windows Update doesn't update them.
You gotta get the "Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 10 November 2021 Update (21H2) - v2.0" .msi installer from the MS download center and install/extract the .admx files then put them in the PolicyDefinitions folder.

I'm trying to change W10 Education to W10 IoT using the registry trick and it's asking for a product key. What do I do?
>>
>>108637147
You might just not be fast enough? You change the ProductID registry string to IoTEnterpriseS and rush through the mounted ISO setup while declining updates. If you're quick enough it'll show you're already on IoT LTSC and it'll let you keep your shit.

When installing win10/11, which drivers should I use?
What windows install, or do I need to use the official manufacture drivers?
It's NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M, if it matters.
>>
>>108637498
For your NVIDIA graphics cards you should always use NVCleanstall to install the driver without any of the bloat. Though only after you use DDU in safe mode to uninstall the NVIDIA driver that Windows Update will install for you first.
>>
>>108637514
NTA, but you should use windows update for older GPU drivers.
NVCleanstall isn't the best ate installing older drivers, it would just get the "best" drivers, not the correct drivers.
>>108637498
The older mobile GPU are pretty annoying with the driver settings since there were many battery life optimization and performance settings.
I have Sony Vaio with 520M, using NVCleanstall would install a compatible driver but the resolutions would be limited.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>108637627
If anon actually wants to go with that they'll need to use Legacy Update anyway which'll install SP3 for him among other things.

I know I can add-noexit, but I prefer "pause" so I can just press Enter to close the window instead of alt-f4 or pressing (x) to exit.

yeah I think most of MS execs are old enough to remember nobody liked office assistants, they even had to fire Clippy on a conference because of the backlash.
maybe it's better for them to not return because it's more likely that they keep fumbling it and people will hate the assistants again

I remember TuneUp Utility 2007 doing that. WinAero Tweaker also does that, and I think PowerToys, the first one for Windows 98 also had an option for that. It's an ancient registry trick by this point.

I need some help provisioning appx files to an offline image, my issue is that they don't work before I go online at least once. I'm assuming this is ClipSVC renewing (or creating) their licenses but I'm not sure myself.
I've tried both rg-adguard files and their inbox iso counterparts (+ their XML licenses), the ones downloaded from adguard only work after going online, the inbox ones don't even show up (despite being succesfully added with dism).
I also edited the registry with the following, the changes to show up in the image but they don't help me with my issue.
reg add "HKLM\zSYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ClipSVC\Parameters" '/v' "DisableOnlineAcquisition" '/t' 'REG_DWORD' '/d' '1' '/f'
reg add "HKLM\zSYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\ClipSVC\Parameters" '/v' "RefreshRequired" '/t' 'REG_DWORD' '/d' '0' '/f'
reg add "HKLM\zSOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModelUnlock" '/v' "AllowAllTrustedApps" '/t' 'REG_DWORD' '/d' '1' '/f'
This problem happens with most programs I've tried, but the ones I'm using are
Microsoft.WindowsTerminal_3001.24.10921.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Microsoft.ScreenSketch_2022.2505.21.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Microsoft.GamingApp_2604.1001.9.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Microsoft.WindowsAlarms_2022.2306.23.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_6.1.4.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe
And a few others.
The Inbox ISO is 26100.1.240331-1435.ge_release_amd64fre_CLIENT_LOF_PACKAGES_OEM, the Windows ISO I'm using is just the 24H2 IOT LTSC (261001742).
I'm also reapplying KB5043080 (the .1742 update) after integrating everything, because I'm also adding other languages (that come in .1 versions) and they don't work if I don't.

Open services.msc and disable 'Windows Health and Optimized Experiences' & 'Connected User Experiences and Telemetry'. That's it, that's all it takes.
Then right click and uninstall whatever you do not use, and if you care enough go to Settings > Apps > System Components and set everything to never run in the background.
And obviously set everything to 'Off' in Settings > Privacy & Security.
It takes like 5min tops to do, you don't need 3rd party tumours on your PC to do it for you.
