I've found it most useful for niche older stuff like light novels from 10-15 years ago for which the translations a specific team made back then are hard to come across nowadays, or things like bonus/side stories that no one has bothered uploading to torrent trackers (I've found extra content I didn't even know existed like this before for some of the LNs I was reading).
