Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.
1st rule of /csg/: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I would be forced to go to alibaba and buy bulk pallets of products to meet the same prices it used to be 6 years ago. Take something as small as double edge razor blades. Chinks were offering aliexpress prices at .3-5 cents a per blade where as the amazon rate was generally .6-.15 cents per blade. If you went to alibaba the manufacturer of said blade could get you as low as .3-4 per blade with free/discounted shipping if the purchase was high enough in quantity.
What once was a screaming deal at nearly half the price of anything sold by anyone ebay/RBC/Amazon/other retailers is now on parity if not sometimes even more expensive.

Got this for $200 about 6 months ago. Slapped Debian on it and riced it out. Been very nice so far, runs smoothly and nothing has broken from daily use. Excellent for web browsing and light/mid programming work. Gets around 10-12 hours of battery life depending on what you are running. Aside from my cosmetic alterations, the only tinkering I had to do was write a custom script to raise and lower the screen backlight, since Debian didn't map those functions to buttons.
Didn't keep Windows 11 on it, so I have no idea how well it would run that.

I'm trying to find a folding keyboard with trackpad that has both a winkey and escape, unlike picrel. Anyone got any leads? This thing is infuriating to use just on the basis of the escape situation. A 2.4 dongle wouldn't go amiss, though exclusively bluetooth is fine.

For the US there's Section 301 (7.5-25%) for small stuff and (50-100%) for batteries, general purpose electronics, steel and aluminum, etc... Also the De Minimis exemption was nuked so every product regardless of price must be taxed when it only used to apply to stuff priced over 800 USD
For the EU there's a flat 3 Euro tariff for each product type in every order, mandatory VAT for every product regardless of value (9-27%) and 20% tariff on electronics

anon is a eu thing, we are getting the 3 euros per tax code in our package tarif
what would happen is that we will get big chinese warehouses in cheap parts of europe
this shit is to streamline logistics and customs
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>108639765
see >>108639753
its basically taxing the customs and market surveillance paperwork, that why is 3 euros per tax code. You buy a million of some chinkshit is just 3 euros
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>108639825
the point is to make the packages come in big shipments, and split them in europe, not to deal with millions of ridiculously small packages saturating customs, logistics and making market surveillance more complicated
there is also the politicians doing populistic bullshit, but this is a initiative comming from the actual workers of the eu bureaucracy

anyone know any chargers that have independent circuits inside?
like I have a 67w charger but when I plug something else in the charging port switches from 67 to 45 and interrupts whatever was powered
I want it to have constant output that never gets interrupted
toocki 40w has that, with two independent circuits inside, but the one I have with 4 ports one of the circuits died after 4 months (shame above the refund time) so I don't want to go the same route again.

wat. If your device has already negotiated 20V@5A, and you plug something into the USBA the charger will simply bring down the current, not cut out then renegotiate. And in the case of a higher wattage unit it'll come down to the current 65w you were looking at.

ok, generic keyboard meant for mac but also compatible with windows and has exclusive functions for mac which are unusable for windows
it's like using an xbox style controller to play a ps game on emulator - it still works but the form is obviously for an xbox

that advice is free, next will it'll cost you

I dunno mate, I did love the Moondrop Chu II but those are hardly the hottest "as of late". Chu II has been around for a while now.
On a side note, I've bought and used 2 KZs and I have to say the size of their IEMs are not suited for my ears. I can't wear them for prolonged periods (>30 mins) since their large size irritates my ear lobes/canal/whatever skin folds there are surrounding my ears. Even though I do like how they sound; they're just much too XBOXHUEG.

To be fair, it's a valid question.
I can get a bong from any of the 49 other states shipped to my door with no legal problems at all.
But it's coming from China? Sorry kiddo illegal, despite the fact it can be used legally in many states for weed, and every state for tobacco.
American glass is stupid priced though, that bong in the webm would probably cost anon $300-400 from a US glass blower.

To be fair, even the government is starting to ask why they're wasting their time on that enforcement.
In recent oversight hearings, some members of Congress have explicitly questioned the ROI of seizing consumer-grade glass when the fentanyl/precursor chemicals are slipping through in large volume.
Also the recent reclassification efforts to schedule III further dampen the CBP's general excuse (we're stopping schedule I paraphernalia from entering the country). If it becomes schedule III then the waste of resources is even harder to justify.

I've had to install W11 on a few laptops with N100's/N97's recently, and I can say that it would run W11 like shit. practical example for you.
a powered USB hub connected to my laptop.
I use a charger to power the hub.
I can either use a single output charger and have to buy a power strip to plug in another charger or I can have a charger with two power rails.
because common chargers only have one rail, if someone plugs something into the second charger port, it disconnects and reconnects after recalculating power delivery, which disconnects every device plugged into the hub.
hdds, controllers, dongles, everything violently and suddenly disconnects from the laptop.
there is no stepping down of voltage because it's already 5v. and whatever gets plugged into port 2 needs more than 5v because nothing just uses 5v anymore, so it has to reset.

Query: how often do you fiddle with the bass & treble knobs? Find a sweet spot and leave as-is, or adjust per song/album/use case? There was this one post (regarding the aiyima, not fosi) where a user complained about finding a neutral sound with the 2 knobs:
>turning them both all the way down makes it sound like you've opened your equalizer and turned every bass and treble frequency all the way down
>putting both knobs at 50% [...] the sound becomes audibly v-shaped
[Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/12p4q3i/budget_amps_ that_dont_color_sound/]

>>
>>
>>108667883
I just skimmed it, but what do you want it for? Seems like all it does is take the brightness via photodiode and then play a sound at a given pitch and volume according to that brightness or am I missing something?
While it's less elegant, you can cut down on the electronics complexity by simply using an arduino nano clone or similar.
- photoresistor in one input
- buzzer in another input
- if you need it to be mobile, a powerbank or simple battery connected to the power pins
Arduino sketch should be a few lines at most, fairly simple, even a shitty llm can vibecode it for you.
>>
>>108667934
>>108667883
Nvm I should have read that second link. If it's important to you that you actually turn the light signal into an audio signal "directly" that complicates things. If not (some of the mentioned versions seem to basically do the previously mentioned approach) then arduino is the easiest baby solution. If you want direct capture the question is if it has to be portable, the majority of that circuit are amplifiers, if you can outsource that to an audio interface and/or external amp it becomes a lot simpler. I highly doubt you'll be able to find a ready-made solution, far too small of a target audience..

You’re clearly trolling because you used coupons, change it to another country that isn’t USA to not pay the customs duty and created a new account to alter the price from its original $30.

A proper Casio F91W from Amazon is $19.50. Aliexpress has them for the same price +/- $1. Definitely not something you'd trust chang with.
Anon's knock off being 1/4-1/3 price makes it a question of being worth it. Probably not desu.

Is it possible to get one of these without chinese malware?

Ok ordered 3 controllers now to rotate with my old xbox 360 wired controller so it lasts longer. Went with 8bitdo Ultimate C wired with those fancy hall things, a 8bitdo M30 Bluetooth for d-pad focused games, and then I just liked the aesthetics of the 8bitdo PCE so bought that as well.

>need bike lights
>all lights sold as "bike lights" are absolute dogshit with internal non-replaceable batteries
>instead order 2 Wurkkos 18650 flashlights: FC11C, H25LR (has a red LED for the rear) and bike mounts for them
pretty happy with my decision, i feel like those will be much more reliable and long-lasting, also you could always carry spare cells with you to swap in case you run out (on top of being able to use quality brand cells instead of cheapest shit they probably throw into internal bike light batteries)

So, uh, what do you do with the torches when you're not riding the bike? Just leave them on there?
Okay if you've always leaving it somewhere secure, but if anywhere public people will steal your torches immediately.

i live rural and never leave by bike in public, i always lock it in my garage.
And if i ever did, i could always take the flashlights with me. I'm yet to receive the mounts, but they do seem to have a quick release clamp.

I've been using Unitek Y-3184, 7 ports too but it comes with 12V3A power supply, Ugreen seems to come with only 12V2A power supply.

My old Audio Technica headphones cable was withering away and literally splitting at like 50 points along the cable so I figured might as well try a detachable mod.
Should be pretty idiot proof even with soldering involved so here that's.
Only posting because it's literally 3 bucks with free shipping on aliexpress while equivalent crap on amazon which is also chinkified is around 25. Crazy world.

>3.5mm jack
IF your headphone can fit it, seriously consider going mini-xlr for the connection.
My headphone cable fucked up (for a second time) so did the detachable mod as well using Neutrik/REAN connections for both the socket and the plug.
Even though it was the same brand they had a loose connection so sound would cut out if the cord was pressured in a certain way and drove me nuts. The fix to that was to put a slither of paper in there when inserting the plug so it was nice and snug, but that always takes a few goes to get right. Extension 3.5mm cables from the local shop also had the same issues. Only cable that I'd ever found to be snug was a short 10cm cable that came with something else.
Maybe it was just a loose socket that I used, but going a more robust connection type would be my go if it fits in the headphone. Would need to make your own cables but that only takes a few minutes to put on a new connector.

Oh that's a good point. I think if the connectors sucks I'll just scrap it and just solder the cable to replacement one. I'm not married to the idea of a detachable mod but it sounded easy enough to do.
I'd like to keep those cans for a few more years since they prices just keeps going up.

>>108679263
I mostly did it the second time around because actually replacing the cable means opening everything up again and de/soldering the cable directly onto the PCB.
My understanding is the actual headphone driver/magnet wires are connected on the reverse side so messing around with that is how you're likely to kill the headphones for good.
Even with needing to mess around with bits of paper for a solid connection, I'm on my third cable since the mod so it's definitely saved time and given peace of mind.
