I've seen these in person. At the rate that it's progressing with its robot armies and drone swarms, China will be able to conquer and enslave the continental US in 20 years without a Chinese person ever setting foot on its shores. You will literally be bought and sold on an auction block before getting shipped to Beijing, along with countless other Americans, to fight to death in televised gladiator games.

>muh EMP
Advanced robot soldiers and drones will have Faraday shells around vulnerable electronics, hardened cabling, relays that disconnect vulnerable systems during a pulse, etc. America will indeed detonate EMPs in a hail-mary, but this will only disable its own population and make takeover easier.

I'm an American. Cope. Americattle are oblivious to how far ahead China is in robotics and will be punished for their arrogant stupidity.

I'm kind of surprised you can even still buy these in western countries.
I guess it's too early to take seriously yet but once these things become sophisticated enough having a literal bipedal robot army inside your borders just waiting to be activated by a foreign state is going to be seen as an unacceptable national security risk

This is untrue though, and maybe you can help me anon.
I've been sitting on a much better design for well over a decade. Afraid to show it, or share it, or even speak it out loud. Just slowly refining and tuning my designs within the meat computer sitting between my ears.
I know it is the true 'superior design' for robotics, that eventually all robotics will adopt (if they ever conceptualize it that is) but eventually the end of the road for all robotics is someone (some idiot) will eventually weaponize them. Perhaps to great effect, great terror or great tragedy. I keep it to myself cause I don't want that on my conscience. I'm a pacifist and have logically concluded weaponizing robots is purely illogical.
But anyway, this idea itself is much bigger than me and it doesn't feel proper gate keeping this. Technically I'm not gatekeeping, as anyone is free to have the same idea even if I never reveal anything.
Alternatively, I could make a best effort attempt to show the world how best to use this design in ways that helpful and not war or weapon based. I could even try to use patent laws or licensing to try to avoid weaponization. Ultimately though if the US gov wants to weaponize something they have legal loopholes they can use, and there's no legal law that could stop foreign gov like China. Ultimately I'm completely powerless from stopping this, except for right now while the concept is stuck in my meatspace it remains safe. Sometimes I wonder if making a "best effort" on my part to show people the good that can be done with this (knowing that others will abuse this tech) is simply enough, but I'm also aware this effects many more people than myself, so I feel as if the final decision shouldn't be left up to me
So I ask you anon: Should this improved robot design be shared, knowing that it will do both good and bad? A simple yay or nay would suffice but explaining logic be better

Chinese can barely maintain internal power.
China is two separate countries held together by a centralized authority that diminishes the further away you go from the capital.
All of China's energy is directed towards maintaining the internal state.

anyone who has the slightest clue on robotic locomotion would get their sides sent to orbit if you seriously pitched taking over a country with kid-sized that have <1h battery life
you are right about all unitree hw being backdoored af thougheverbeit

>maybe one company/country will discover it independently
Not impossible tho highly unlikely.
The theory of design is too radical and different from what is conventionally thought of as robotics. Not even science fiction has thought it up yet.
And the practical/physical/mechanics of how to pull it off is based off ancient technology that has nothing to do with robots. Honestly robots was the furthest thing from my mind when I discovered it.
Everyone's too busy and got their gaze facing forward to the future, eyes on the prize, nobody wants to look backwards at the past and wonder "what if"
>Share it publicly so everyone stands on equals footing
If for some reason the world becomes a techno oligarchy where technological equality is required for the survival of humanity..... maybe. But that'd be a dark day indeed. I'd like to focus on a brighter future than that.

Incorrect. I'd never post about this except in vague non-specific terms, and only for moral/ethical guidance. I don't need /diy/s help to build stuff
