Is this still usable in 2026 even though its abandonware? Last i heard, it doesn't block any boot time connections up until you log into your account. You can confirm this with packet capture.

Fort Firewall just hasnt been working as easily as simplewall did besides that though, its too intuitive not to consider going back to it.

whats the use case for this? i log into my account twice a year because i reboot twice a year
also tinywall is better
also a hardware firewall is better

Is there a place where people share their list of blocked domains? Ideally a complete guide to block all telemtry at the network level for example

I'm also wondering if this place gathers not only blocked domains but also services and processes in general, as would be the standard way the user blocks things in tinywall or simplewall.

Source?

just use windows firewall control.

That's to be expected from any non-hardware firewall, honestly. Can't do shit if not yet loaded.
Disable automatic wifi connection? It's just literally three more clicks on every boot. Sucks if you're on ethernet tho.

How do you use windows without logging into a local user account? This doesn't block anything at boot time while it loads or while you sit on the login screen. The only way to get around this is by pulling your Ethernet connection before shitting the system down because it also doesn't block connections when your system logs out and processes pending updates

It's literally archived on GitHub.

I'm pretty sure it was archived last I checked. Maybe he changed it back.

In any case, I'm a bit weary of using it since I had a BSOD once while Simplewall was active and for several days I couldn't access many programs and websites. I'm not sure what happened exactly, as I reinstalled Windows to see if that was the issue and it still didn't work, but then after several days it went back to normal. I'm not tech savvy enough to check the exact causes, but simply enabling/disabling the filters did nothing to fix it.

Let me guess, this happened on windows 10?
>>
>>108678135
Yes. But to be clear, it wasn't limited to my PC. I've tried on several PCs connected to the same router and two mobile devices and the issues persisted.

it was indeed archived a while back but I think the maintainer received some sponsors etc so he went back to work on it

The bigger issue is that it's so outdated that it flat out doesn't block any Microsoft connections if you've patched windows 11 even once since December. It only works if the developer is constantly releasing new updates and you don't patch immediately

Don't O&O and Spybo + Peerblock block most of the telemetry servers?

Dumbass nigga who doesn't use a host based firewall as well

I don't run anything
Should I get a flint 2 instead?

just use portmaster

Arent you discouraged to stack anti-telemetry tools like that? At most I use Chris' Win Util it bundles in O&O already.
