AMD has fallen into the same trap Intel did in its heyday. Literally all they have going for them is Ryzen. Their business acumen sucks, their GPU division is a joke. They’ve largely fumbled shift into laptop market even if the chips are actually good. Intel is slowly catching up and is even become a better value per dollar option. They are not Apple, who made great chips and support it with their own hardware and software. AMD just has one money maker and is slowly getting challenged from all sides.

Besides those if your job doesnt require you to travel a lot you are always almost certainly better spending the money on a desktop. If you really need to game you can always get a ally X with the Z2 extreme
