AMD choosing to stagnate and bask in their glory instead of pursuing increasing highs and fumbling the mobile laptop market. Though Intel isn’t out of the woods yet. But they managed something few other semiconductor companies have done, actually made their fans relevant again, even if only somewhat. Ask GloFo how well that worked out for AMD

AMD actually put out shit products in datacenter is what happened.
AMD advertised higher core counts and PCIe lanes which seemed like a dream come true until you tried to use both.
Turns out the infinity fabric is a power hog and the power budget meant cores and IO where a give and take situation. You could saturate all PCIe lanes but it limited core performance.
On the opposite end PCIe links slept and caused performance and latency issues trying to access PCIe devices in high core utilization scenarios.

This was fine for a spell as workloads where either one or the other.
However ML workloads ask a lot of both core+IO and the actual fabric bandwidth internally was a lot higher and more consistent on Intel despite lower PCIe lane count.

>muh AMD
both AMD and Intel stocks are booming right now

>P/E Ratio -
they are still losing money somehow when every server chip is sold
fascinating

I'm guessing they laid off another 20000 white people.

Wut, so all those pcie lanes arent actually usable?
5th gen Epyc still destroys Intels offering in price and performance for common VM workloads which are just idling and serving php crap.

What happened? Did the gov cash infusion and announcement of desktop cpus without cuck cores cause this?

>AMD up 70% in the past month
Yeah I don't think it has anything to do with AMD
>>
intel was saved by performance per socket and per watt not mattery
every server chip they can make will sell
it's why every ai company is signing deals with everyone they don't care. AWS, Nvidia, Ampere, ARM itself, Google, Azure, Intel, AMD will rent/sell every server chip they can get TSMC to make for them

If someone from "that" d*scord is reading that: Niggas I told you, $20 intel stock is basically free... if I had more money at the time, I would've invested 50-75% of my total capital in Intel Stocks.

Still mad to this day...

i bought around 22
i suspected that was free money but i don't know shit about the market

Well played, anon. Honestly you don't need to be a wallstreet broker to see that $20-22 is "free". Any /g/tard should know that Intel can't be THAT fucking low forever.

I wouldn't be so hard on myself, there was some erious rumors in late 2024 how the company was almost sold to Qualcomm.
