Genuinely just absolutely fucking floored at the sheer amount of investment the artist had in this comm and their interest in my OC stuff in general. Bit difficult to summarise it all but what I got was: - Illustration of a stylish action pose - Illustration of a cute scene with three different OC's - headshot illustration with loads of expression variations and even two animated GIF versions where they're all naturally combined together - Some simple bonus sketches - Rough concept sketches for outfits they wanted to try putting together - A whole fucking rough storyboard for various different scene ideas, relevant character information and notes about their thought process
And then after I created the collage and sent them a well deserved big boost they added in: - A little chibi headshot - Even MORE concept notes and thoughts - Additions to the outfit concept - Dialogue added into the three character scene
I can't believe it, I don't think I'll ever see this much sheer volume of heart and interest in a comm ever again. I can't promise your experience will be the same, especially since they did admit to showing me some special treatment, but please do see if there's anything they could do for you if any of this seems interesting.

How risky it is to outright ask an artist when/if he'll publish variants from an already delivered skeb request you made to his fanbox? Want it specifically because for skeb files he makes the mosaic pretty heavy (thanks nalgami) while the fanbox files that get posted later have way less heavier one or thin black bar instead.

Anyone ITT know an artist that does fight stick art or just really cool anime girls in action poses in general? I wanted to get custom stick art as a present for myself but sadly the artist I had lined up refunded me, possibly because of an injury. Normally I'd just write this off as a loss but because of the credit card I used I had to buy points rather than JPY directly, so I've got about 20k yen worth of points that I gotta use by years end. I don't really know who else to check out though, this artist came recommended by a friend and I'm not really familiar with SFW skeb artists.
Maybe not the right thread to ask but I don't know where else to go to talk to people about this.

I brought two adoptables. One was for thirty five dollars, the other for sixty. The thirty five dollar one was fairly close to my ideal so I didnt make any changes to it, got art of it right away. The sixty dollar one I regret, because that is generally too much for an adoptable, even the centaur type that I brought. I sent it to another artist on skeb to gender-based it. In hindsight I should have just put that sixty dollars towards a fully custom skeb commission. I could always just describe it with words and use similar references from the internet.
I really need to look into organising some animated comms some time, I would have requested Harai a long time ago if I wasn't put off by their 52% complete rate and how much other people of all kinds are probably trying to comm them.
>>8894783 It hasn't been easy but it's been incredibly satisfying making the models of my girls better and better in sort of "new generations" each time after enough time has passed and I've figured out new ways to improve on them and add my own personal style. I've been using Koi for years now, it's been a real lifeline in helping me design or even just conceptualise a ton of things for my OC's, makes for fantastic scene idea's and references you can use in commissions too. It probably would be a bit daunting to get into, to be fair, but I would recommend it as being a great visual aid for anyone who's willing to accept the commitment it takes to make particularly good use of it.
