>Key aspects of Popper's critique of Marxism include:
>Failure of Falsifiability: Popper argued that while early Marxism made scientific predictions, these were falsified by history (e.g., revolutions did not occur in developed capitalist countries first). Rather than accepting these failures, followers added ad hoc hypotheses to save the theory, rendering it unfalsifiable.
>Critique of Historicism: Popper, as explained in this Reddit post from r/askphilosophy, argued that predicting the long-term course of history is impossible because human knowledge influences history, and we cannot predict future knowledge. He viewed this deterministic view as a threat to freedom.
Makes sense to me

This is an incredibly stupid objection and reinforces my impression Popper was a hack, because adjusting one’s hypothesis in the face of contrary evidence is *standard* human behavior, not only in the academy but in all human evaluation of empirical evidence. It is a rational response to empirical refutation.
The actual reason Marxism is wrong is because God is real.

God willed that Marxism should come into existence, become a geopolitical threat for a century, and then fade into nothingness. Why? Does God love capitalism?
