I'm not saying scholars should consider a DNA test as the only way to confirm a person's existence. I'm just saying it's the most trustable.
We can't confirm the existence of Socrates and Jesus because there is no physical evidence of them. I was wondering about Tacitus; he used the word "Christus" to refer to a crucified person. A "prophet" named Yeshua might have existed and might have been executed by the Roman Empire. We don't know if Tacitus was referring to Yeshua or another person. Jesus' miracles were debunked by science and history because there is no evidence besides the Bible.
